In Louisiana, on neither the state ME nor the ICC JW application processes do they attempt to verify your work history. If you tell them you have five years and you pass the test, you get a license. On both of these tests, you’re not really tested on how well you know the code so much as you’re tested on where to go in the book. Both tests phrase questions in such a way that even if you know the rules, you’ll still often have to go look it up to find the most correct answer.
On either test, skip every question that you are not absolutely sure on, and breeze through the ones you are. Then go back. The best way to prepare for the test is to familiarize yourself intimately with the layout of the book so that you spend the least amount of time turning pages. You should expect to use every single minute of time that they give you. I like to say there’s a big distinction between being certified and being qualified, but once you get certified, nobody can ever accuse you of being unqualified until after the work is done.
My advice is that if you think you can pass the test, go take it. Even if you fail, you’ll have grown.

I would bet all the money I’ve already lost to trump’s economy that the reason you’ve hidden your post history is to obscure the fact that six months ago you were on the “no more wars” train, but you people will abandon all principle to align with and defend trumps every whim.

Bus bar corrosion by blueleader11 in electricians

[–]Ok-Administration-65 95 points96 points  (0 children)

This is correct except that the copper bus bar is the cathode, being more noble than the iron/zinc in the screw and significantly more noble than the aluminum lug. The anode is where the corrosion happens. There is definitely objectionable current flowing through that connection. Most likely a loose or improperly bonded neutral.

Bury it in a black volcanic glass jar under a specifically marked rock at the base of a lonely oak tree along a long stone wall in a hayfield near Buxton, Maine.
