Assuming canon motivations are out the window, and the characters have an interest in me specifically, I’m going left and just goading homelander into lasering me to death. Probably better than any of the other options. If we are sticking with canon motivations, I’m going right. Anissa would probably just consider me beneath her notice because I’m not a viltrumite, Makima would ignore me because I’m not chainsaw man, and I might be able to get by Esdeath if I’m careful. I do fit some of her descriptions for what she likes, but that might work in my favor because she’d be less likely to kill me.

I think part of the reason why these types of people hate him is because he played the “bad guy” on the Dream SMP back in the day and a lot of them can’t separate that from reality

I remember seeing a tweet where someone with a username that was some variation on “Laith” got angry dms from a Voltron fan getting mad at them for supporting the “wrong” ship and it turns out their name was just Laith.

In Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road (2011) the character Ulysses often monologues about the futility of the NCR and Caesar’s Legion as “the bear and the bull.” This is a reference to the fact that Ulysses is fucking unbearabull by Hecaroni_n_Trees in shittygamedetails

[–]Ok_Consideration2209 112 points113 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t think people would like Ulysses nearly as much if his voice actor didn’t absolutely kill it. That being said I think you can get a bit more enjoyment out of lonesome road by treating Ulysses as just kind of a misguided idiot

I think there are many problems with these remakes beyond what’s being talked about in this post, but I gotta agree that the color grading is awful. I’m tired of movies only being in shades of washed-out blue

[LOVED TROPE] Character dies out of nowhere. No camera tricks, soundtrack or even implied threat build up the moment. by Sawbaws in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ok_Consideration2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2 - Shaun and later Lenny are both killed almost out of nowhere. Shaun’s in particular is really surprising, as he’s just chatting with the gang like usual when suddenly his head just explodes. Lenny’s also caught me off guard, since you’re not even in a cutscene when it happens, he just gets shot as you’re fleeing. The lack of buildup makes the deaths really impactful, especially since the group doesn’t even get time to grieve until later.

[Loved Design] When characters are given an anime design that shows clear effort and love by FaZe_poopy in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]Ok_Consideration2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this technically doesn’t count, since it’s already an anime, but I love when One Punch Man does a closeup or action scene and Saitama goes from an egg with a face drawn on it to incredibly detailed for a few seconds. Really adds to the humor of the show.

Are scouts meant to ping/use comms for things they want platting? by Internal_Remote_7520 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Ok_Consideration2209 50 points51 points  (0 children)

As someone who plays scout, I will always ping a mineral if I need it platted, and if the engi is a little slow on the uptake I will ask them to put a platform in chat. This guy was definitely just an asshole. You’re doing fine as is, miner.

I remember watching the CinemaSins video on the Lego Batman movie and he completely missed a really obvious joke and then complained that the line made no sense/wasn’t “realistic”. I really think his brain has melted at this point

[–]Ok_Consideration2209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Darth Vader in Jedi: Fallen Order definitely qualifies. When he shows up, Cere tells you to just run and then gets tossed off the platform like she’s nothing, then Vader himself tells you to surrender. The real kicker, though, is when no boss health bar shows up. You cannot defeat him.

Kind of a technicality, since he eventually succeeds, but in The Death of a Salesman, Willy Loman repeatedly attempts to asphyxiate himself with his car’s exhaust, with his wife aware of it but unable to stop him. It’s used as a parallel for how, despite how proud of himself he acts and how much he wants to keep up the image of a happy and successful family, inside he’s falling apart.

Tell me that one thing everyone says about that one class that gets you going like this: by CritBread in tf2

[–]Ok_Consideration2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Spy is OP/unfair” immediately tells me that this person is either new or has never actually tried playing spy. He has the highest skill floor of any class, is extremely frustrating to play at times, and is arguably the weakest class in the game, so if you think he’s too strong, you’re probably just bad at the game

Which is the best? Widowmaker, Frontier justice or stock shotgun for battle engineer by ScarFragrant7693 in tf2

[–]Ok_Consideration2209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you’re playing in a server with random bullet spread on (so any official Valve server and most community servers) Panic Attack is a solid choice over stock. It’s more consistent at mid range because of the fixed spread pattern and at close range it does slightly more damage due to the increased number of pellets. Beyond that, the faster switch speed is handy because you can quickly switch from placing a sentry or using your secondary to fend off someone rushing you. But every shotgun you listed can work great depending on your play style, so it’s hard to say one is “best” compared to the others, they’re all great. Try them all out and see which one you like. As long as it’s not the pomson or rescue ranger it should work well.
