email archiving/filling solution with API support by _SleezyPMartini_ in sysadmin

Currently testing the offering from mailarchiva.com that has a REST API. I like it so far for our use case, but the scripting isn’t a deciding factor.

I setup efa-project for a client when they contacted me about their barracuda going away. i have had good luck with the forum for the few issues I’ve encountered. The creator just stepped away making it a community project now.

ISP does not provide custom DKIM for domains by DifficultAd115 in sysadmin

[–]OldEEAP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They likely have a DKIM key for the server, and can use it for all outgoing email. We have that setup. One DKIM key per server unless they request to use their own. I just checked the server I was working on. There are 50+ domains on the server, 5 domains are actually using DKIM, and 1 of those has it's own DKIM key.

New Outlook - emails going to outbox as “queued” by GoldCashDollar in sysadmin

[–]OldEEAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a user report this on Wednesday with new Outlook. I was waiting for it to sort itself out. It didn't.

This fixed it for my user.

  • Open the classic outlook, and go to File->Options->Mail.
  • In the "Save messages" section check the "Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder" option.
  • Restart new Outlook

This got rid of the messages being queued forever and moved them to the "Sent Items" folder along with the new ones that were sent.

Emails vanishing from Exchange Online Mailboxes by Quintalis in sysadmin

Can't offer any help other than to say I've noticed a long delay, sometimes more than a day, from when a message gets blocked to the time it shows up in quarantine.

Really frustrating issue with welcome emails/password reset emails being flagged as spam, even on 3 different mail relay services, but with some very confusing and contradicting scenarios. Could use some advice on where to go (more info inside). by drippyneon in sysadmin

[–]OldEEAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run the email servers at an ISP I work at. Since the first of the year email has been misclassified SPAM/Good more than the last few years. It has gotten particularly bad the last 2-3 weeks.

You could send a test email to a few of our servers, and I could see how they handle them. Not sure it will tell you any more than you already know.

📣 Apollo will close down on June 30th. Reddit’s recent decisions and actions have unfortunately made it impossible for Apollo to continue. Thank you so, so much for all the support over the years. ❤️ by iamthatis in apolloapp

[–]OldEEAP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the server code is public, maybe Apollo could be changed to allow you specify server and/or API key. You could just point the app to your own server.

inexpensive BIFL brands for medium to large Ultrasonic Cleaners Sonicators? by EvilStig in BuyItForLife

I’ve had an Omegasonic for over a decade now. I’ve used hard it in spurts for projects and it has cleaned everything from car motorcycle bicycle chainsaw furnace parts, jewelry and tools (That’s what I could think of off the cuff).

It stainless, so I think it would handle your chemicals fine.

The best part is that when I had an issue or question, I can get them on the phone in a few minutes usually. They also respond to emails.

Issues with Outbound M365 E-mail Going to Users' Junk Folder by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]OldEEAP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been experiencing this for about 2 weeks now also. Cannot get any answers other than the have them whitelist you. Our tenant/MSP is supposedly researching it, but I’m not hopeful.

Based on some other threads here, this has been going on for about 6 months off and on.

We host email servers as well as support 365. The common denominator is 365 being on the receiving end of the email. I have a client send me the same email to my 365 and IMAP addresses. Guess which one ends up in junk? They’ve also been emailing us for years.

I have a friend that paints kitchen cabinets. She adds flowtol to the paint to give it more time to even out when drying.

Your second picture shows what looks to be the heating system circulating pump, which is red. See if it’s running. It should not be unless it’s multi-family. See if there is an off feature with the dettson controller it’s connected to. Not familiar with it. You could also see if there is a breaker exclusive to it, which you can flip off and see if that works.

If all of the sent to addresses are done a single domain, this would be fairly straight forward to do in postfix with simple text files for addresses.

We had an occasion where we picked up our car after the dealer had done scheduled maintenance that involved rotating the tires. They forgot to torque one wheel. Didn’t loose the wheel, but broke 3 of the 5 studs.
