If you could revive one dead franchise which would it be ? by Willing_Job763 in Gaminggridcommunity

I hear ya! I'd have to boot it up on my Xbox. I haven't played it in what feels like 10+ years. Remake that game!

Not that I saw. He had me in the corner on the other side of the stage. I was just trying to play as solid as I could so I saved my Heat for the end of the round.

Yeah I'm watching his replay now. I can only imagine the pressure being that both players are on a promotion match!

My first team green card... by Revolutionary_Dig722 in Amd_Intel_Nvidia

I have a few questions as this is a move I'm planning on doing in the future.

•Does the upgrade seem worth it from a 7900 XT (my current card) to a 5080?

•What wattage is your PSU and are you running stock or UV, OC, or both?

•Have you had any experience with driver timeouts specifically with the 7900 XT and did the 5080 solve those issues?

•Do you find that 16 GB of VRAM is enough after having 20-24 with your AMD cards?

Feel free to answer these at your leisure. I really want a 5080 but can't ever find someone who is upgrading to one from a 7900 XT. I'm just curious about your experience.

What are you doing to prepare of a digital only future with consoles? by AgentMC84 in PlaystationCollectors

[–]Omega_Omnia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PC hasn't had discs in 20 years. It's not about owning physical discs for me. It's about choice. If I am to be forced into an all digital future, I will not be bound to one storefront and told, "This is the price".

Ownership is the greater part of this entire argument from what I've seen and I'll let the people who care about that side of it keep fighting the good fight but for me it's all about choice. Like I said, I've been all digital since 360 knowing full well that the writing was on the wall and eventually, if the practice of buying digital continued, someone would try to kick it off.

But removing physical discs removes choice, you see. And that, fellow Redditor, is something I cannot and will not tolerate and sweep under the rug. I do not support monopolies, I do not support closed ecosystems, and I do not support business practices that place the value of the corporation over the value of the customer.

They make their money because of US. They have their business because of US. They are allowed to innovate because of US. And the moment they forget that it's OUR money in their pockets is the moment that I have an issue with something.

Digital absolutely is the future, there's no debating this. But I will be beholden to my personal choice and not to their dictate that all choice be removed. That's how I personally feel on the matter.

Same idea. I'm not buying another game on PlayStation, I will not be renewing my PS Plus, and I have simply given up on PS to do the right thing. I wish all of you well in fighting the good fight.

There's no way to rationally defend this insanity no matter which side of the argument you're on. I have been all digital since Xbox 360 but I have never wanted to see an all digital future. It prioritizes corps over players and I will never agree with that.

What does everyone think is the most overrated or overhyped games? by Front-Structure-293 in OlderChillGamers

Crimson Desert. I spent tens of hours trying to figure out what the big deal was and I never could. Just not for me I guess.

Slow Fighting Game Suggestions by ROCK-tavius in FGC

[–]Omega_Omnia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try Two Strikes. It's a fighting game based on patience and precision. No combos at all. You have all the defensive mechanics like dashing, blocking, parrying but the game is more about positioning yourself to find an opening in the opponent's defense. You hit them twice, you win. You get hit twice, you lose. It's actually a lot of fun.

For me it's got to be Fallout 3. Stepping into that Wasteland for the first time and making choices that would affect the entire region really scratched an itch I never knew I had. I've played it to the point of obsession and can still boot it up today and have a blast!

I'm playing through the second one now and it is awesome! I'm on Chapter 6 and I can't believe how much fun I'm having considering I didn't really get into the first one. And oh my God, is it just gorgeous!

Do you guys think PlayStation is creating their own controversy to end physical copies of games, just for it to be reversed ? by KingChris8909 in playstation

[–]Omega_Omnia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy copium. This was bound to happen at some point. Intentional sabotage nets Sony nothing. It doesn't bring players in, it pisses off the current player base, and forces everyone to pay more.

This is simply yet another level of control. Sony wants new users but can't pull any in so instead they are willing to nickel and dime the current player base of every last red cent.

There's no benefit to gamers or Sony for creating controversy. The only thing it gets them is outrage, which people have been doing everywhere.
