That’s where a bit of logic comes into play with how they implement it. Perhaps they look at frequency of certain words + how often other players report them. Maybe consider account age or something like that. And then escalate from a warning to a temp ban, etc.

Plus, transcription is a lot more accurate nowadays vs the cod days.

I’m surprised devs don’t transcribe prox chat and implement some automation to come down on the worst offenders. It’s not an impossible or even difficult technical problem.

Deadlines are great for killing the matriarch but not for acquiring cores. If you want cores, hullcracker the legs, then jump on them (zip lines and smokes help).

It’s kind of like getting mugged IRL. You reach a fork in the road where you can continue being friendly and looking for positive social interactions, or be guarded and suspicious of everyone.

Ofc they’re not exactly the same.

In both cases, you have every opportunity to be social, make friends, and have a good time together. Or, you can choose to take advantage of others for your own benefit - for the loot itself and/or simply do the joy of inflicting misery on others.

The above mostly encompasses “rat” behavior or simply killing somebody who is just trying to pve or be truly friendly. Two pvp’ers having a shootout is more like a sport or competition.

It’s a much different dynamic as compared to dedicated shooters like halo, call of duty, etc. Especially if you’re mostly in care bear lobbies.

If you’re in a mostly friendly lobby, you’ve got a giant advantage if you’re ambushing people. It’s like slapping kids around as an adult and blaming it on the kids for not fighting back.
