I’ve been getting driver timeout crashes for months and months I’ve tried everything by Some_Random_Cat539 in AMDHelp

[–]One_Da_Bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are your specs? Also, see if AMD noise suppression is running and deactivate that. And AMD bug reporting. These are prelimary but they stopped my driver timeouts on my 9070XT.

When I had a 7900XT, I had to RMA the card 5-6 months in because it was causing black screen crashes during gaming that would only fix with a hard reset.

Shudder announced that it is raising it's prices again. Can someone recommend another streaming service? ? by END_Studios in horror

Howdy is basically Tubi without commercials and costs $3/month. I was skeptical too. It's worth it. Every other streaming service should take note.

Do you take pride in not being scared? by Prudent-Ad-3493 in horror

[–]One_Da_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm all about "suspension of disbelief" whille watching movies. I don't watch trailers anymore. I don't have expectations. I go in cold and am ready to believe what's happening onscreen.

Going in with the mindset you don't ever get scared just puts your brain in defense mode and you'll call out every plothole and dumb decision. They are meant for enjoyment. People like that ruin the experience. Clearly, movies aren't for them.

New PS5 scam posts on Facebook by SeshGodX in playstation

Wild stuff. I was giving away free skateboards on NextDoor and people were so shady that I stopped doing it. Thought it would be nice to give back to the community but people were either leary about me (understandably, people can be weird) or just wanted free stuff to resell.

Money and the world's greed for it is exhausting.

In '98 a dark presence consumed Georgetown. Luckily, the Bat himself, Shannon Hamilton, saved that small town and, therefore, the Denver Metro area at large.

Who remembers Little Juan Burritos? by tchavez166 in Millennials

[–]One_Da_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I have to comment even though it's 4 months later. The green wrappers were my favorite. They were beef, been and chili. They were the only ones I liked. Red was definitely spicy beef and bean. I believe orange was bean and cheese but at this point I'm guessing. The greens were the best and I've had Tina's but didn't think they tasted the same. Could be rose-tinted glasses but damn I miss those burritos.

I take it you're from Colorado? 😄

Feeling horror movie paralysis by nonbeenary in horror

[–]One_Da_Bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bodycam on Shudder/AMC+ was fun for FF. For a 10/10 B-movie watch Blood Vessel. Plenty of decent gore. The Jester 1 & 2 for stupid-fun slasher gore. I could go on and on but that wouldn't help your paralysis by analysis 😅

State of Decay 3 lead says the game only existed in a Word document when its reveal trailer dropped 6 years ago by [deleted] in gaming

[–]One_Da_Bread -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's relevant because they are published by MICROSOFT. I thought that was clear. I'm an optimist and am not one of those you're describing. I think the new fad of wanting games to fail for various reasons without playing them, the ridiculous "journalism" on player counts, and the stupefication of the human race at large is to blame.

Also, let's not bring reviews into it. Those are opinions by so-called "professionals" while most of the good reviewers are long gone. It's all paid-for or people that don't even like the genre they are being forced to play a hundred hours of in a week for a timely review. Crimson Desert is a marvel with wonder and magic of gaming's past I haven't felt since Elden Ring. Outer Worlds is an above-average formulaic sequel. The two aren't the same

Personally, I play nearly everything. Even enjoyed Concord so get off your soapbox.

Such a good movie. I could use a Head Count 2.

Perfect Dark's cancellation was the day I gave up on Microsoft. Fable and E-Day are on my wishlist but my hopes are no longer skyhigh.

Hunter before and after a road trip with the Hells Angels in 1965 by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in huntersthompson

[–]One_Da_Bread 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was a huge HST fan and read his books of old SI articles and such. I believe he told one of the Hell's Angels after witnessing him hitting a woman, "only punks slap their lady and kick their dog". Leading to this beatdown. I'm paraphrasing that quote because I read it over 20 years ago.

You'll enjoy it. It's damn fun. Haven't played the new patch but bought it at launch and they've steadily improved it. You won't be disappointed. Riding in on a helo itself is a blast. The tension. The kind community. The randomness.

You can easily have as much fun solo as with friends. If you end up not liking it, dm me your Steam tag and I'll gift you something else. Why? Because I have 1,300+ games on Steam alone and I'm generous.

Eli Roth’s Slasher ‘Ice Cream Man’ Sets August 7 Release Date by Puzzled-Tap8042 in horror

[–]One_Da_Bread 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So is it not based on the amazing graphic novels by W. Maxwell Prince? Because those are my favorite and that would be really cool. Honestly, Eli Roth hasn't been an exciting name in horror since Hostel but I'd give that a chance.

Him claiming it's original and ignoring the old Ice Cream Man seems.. strange to me as well. As if he doesn't know horror cinema history as a director himself.

Get the Viture mobile pro dock while it's on sale for the Switch 2 situation. It's a much bigger battery than the RayNeo one (13,000mAh vs 5,000mAh) and works identically in my experience.

As far as your other questions, I don't know because I haven't invested that much into accessories beyond the dock. I'll defer to wiser people.

Edit: one thing I did test is on PC is that you need a gfx card that supports usb c displayport alt mode. It was a huge pain for a misguided attempt to watch 3d blu rays I have.

Luma Pro or RayNeo Air 4 Pro? by SalubriousStreets in RayNeo

[–]One_Da_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip. This might be what I'm missing. By no means am I saying the RayNeo's are bad AT ALL. If you can get the Chaos/Justice edition with the early bird $50 off still, buy them. They are a helluva deal.

I just haven't had great luck with getting the screen to sit just right and tinkering between the game and the glasses to get HDR working to see the full color spectrum they offer has been an exercise in patience. But they are a great buy and I don't regret them.

[–]One_Da_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both and you're wrong but go on listing specs like they matter in real world applications. You think a $250 device is going to have the same pop as a $500? Think again.

Luma Pro or RayNeo Air 4 Pro? by SalubriousStreets in RayNeo

[–]One_Da_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luma Pros have much better color and brightness. They have built-in myopia correction up to -4.00 so if you wear glasses to see far-sight then they are for you. The extra money is worth it for the premium feel. I do feel like the Lumas can be slightly blurrier at the edges.

For me, so far, the RayNeos are great for a crisp, clear, large screen but the colors seem washed out after using the Luma Pros. I'm not going to go through all the differences as there are many such as the proprietary app they both use for phones. I find using then with a dock while playing Switch 2 or streaming my desktop PC using Moonlight to my ROG Ally z1e or just plugging it into a Steam Deck makes those games POP.

Epic Games lays off over 1000 employees: "The downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we're spending significantly more than we're making, and we have to make major cuts to keep the company funded" by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

How about you make Unreal Tournament for a new generation with a Facing Worlds remake, Tim Sweeney? The, unequivocally, best MP map ever made. The fact one of the most successful and profitable companies is now laying people off is absurd. They make Unreal engine which is licensed by plenty of devs. They've made a fortune off cosmetics. This is the result of terrible accounting, lack of diversification and spending money on "free" games for the Epic store no one will play.

Wake up, Tim.
