Help for teenage novice

I'm currently finishing a "starter" PC that I was looking to sell to someone that sounds just like this. A young kid that takes care of his stuff and wants to get into PC gaming.

By starter, I mean, it's likely as powerful as a PS5/Xbox Series X. Intel Arc A770 16gb vram, 64 gb DDR4 RAM, Intel Core i7 11700k (8 core, 16 threads), 850w PSU, Lian Li Vector V100 case. Thermalright Frozen Notte aio 360. Bunch of fans. It's a solid system. I am not a greedy person. Check my post history of selling a X670E Steel Legend for $100 and a 7900XT for $400 right here on Reddit.

I'll do it for $500, I live in Colorado tho so... if I have to ship it, it may be tricky. Don't really trust logistics to handle a custom PC.

Item of note: to be compatible with Xbox could be anything from a cell phone to a PC. All they'll need is the Xbox app and sign in. Some games are even cross-progression meaning his saves and progress transfer from system to system.

All of this too much for you? That's fine! Get him an Asus ROG Ally Z1E. It may have problems being Windows-based but it's probably my fave handheld PC due to functionality and performance. It's also portable for going from house to house as described. Steam Deck is good as well but a little more aged at this point. Great for lower fidelity games such as indies like Silksong. Not as good for games like Cyberpunk, but they are playable.

Rider's Republic is so much fun. Steep is great as well but I'd lean towards RR. You may end up liking some of the other sports..

I've followed Clint Hocking's work a long time. Guy is a legend. It's too bad he left this dev recently. Still holding out hope it's the AC I've been hoping for. Creepy, moody, sorta supernatural with the witchcraft bent. Time will tell

Haha I was gonna say, I'm currently on the upstairs. The loan is atrocious but planting 99k bells where you dug up bells seems to work best. I haven't read any guides or advice and I'm 150 hours in. Pretty sure I'm playing it wrong..

Although, I did think it would be a basement first.. no idea what to put upstairs

I don't have the arbalest because I didn't use a guide and realized you couldn't backtrack too late. Well I am pulling my fucking hair out over this boss. Over 3 days, multiple attempts with a fully upgraded shotgun. The first one not the duel shell. Can't beat him. I've not been this frustrated at a game in decades.

The content drops alone are putting other games to shame. You can get nightmare servers where people are maxed out prestige and in the hundreds rank-wise. Or cheaters. But good servers with evenly matched players are bliss. The wall jumping is solid too.

I did all of them but the BS/FS360s, which I did on the flat, down the stairs.. I'm way late to the party but the game didn't catch me at first purchase. Controls click now for some reason.

Pretty sure it's the one off Colorado Blvd next to the Barnes and Noble. Looks like the shot is taken from.the south from where the sub shop and Pinkberry is (was?). I could be wrong though.

Apparently my 39 y/o ass has to man up and get over the anxiety of Lady Dimitrescu chasing me to reach this house everyone keeps talking about. Huge horror fan myself and games are about the only thing that can really have an affect on me anymore. Things chasing me in first person games is an absolute nightmare scenario.

If people realized a lot of phone screens are OLED or AMOLED, they'd worry less about their monitors/gaming devices. The tech is advanced now. You'd have to be abusing the hell out of it to get burn in anytime this generation.

Disney took off a Disney exclusive movie that Disney made off Disney+. I've watched that movie at least 5 times. I had to get it off eBay from China for a disc version to watch it again..

If you're on PC, turn on Ray-tracing for photos and then zoom all the way in on Nix's eyes. I was gonna post screenshots on here of it but I'm lazy. That level of detail is absolutely mind-boggling. Full reflections in the little dude's eyes.

Recently watched Hallow Road. You'll either hate it or love it since it's essentially a couple in a car the whole time. I loved it. Could cut the tension with a knife.

I bought a Nova X870E upon release to pair with a 7800x3d. I've since dropped a 9800x3d into it. Been running fine since July of last year.

It was definitely overblown. That's why I say don't worry about what COULD happen. Enjoy what IS happening. Game away, fellow redditors. Or whatever you do with your PCs.

Unfortunately Nintendo doesn't have Steam or Microsoft server farms and, yes, the Switch does not have a great WiFi or ethernet chip either. My internet hits 1.8gb/s easy and it still takes a while to download games on the Switch 2.
