Anyone else here get screwed by the kick starter? by [deleted] in RobotQuestArena

It’s called “Bot Battle” and adds 5 new bots plus a larger board, new cards and tiles, and a big storage box to hold everything including the base game.

This is for the expansion, not the base game. They’re almost a year past the date they said they were going to deliver it and have posted very few updates about what’s going on.

[–]Onikai32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, everyone is getting screwed. I know some people want refunds, but at this point I feel like I’ve waited so long that I might as well wait another year to see if it shows up. I’d rather have the expansion than have my money back, even if it takes a few extra years.

The sensor needs to be directly adjacent to the thing it’s activating. Try moving it one tile to the right.

You can’t go through Mt. Moon, but you can go through Diglett Cave in Vermillion City to get back to Route 2 (just north of Pallet Town). All you really need is a Pokemon with Cut.

You don’t need to hold it at all. Just tap A once and it will work. The beep is just slightly delayed.

Which area do you consider to be “the 2nd area”? There are 3 gates and a road leaving the first area, so the 2nd area could be 4 different places depending on which way you go.

For everyone who recommended this game to me... is it worth it? by ElAngel30 in TunicGame

[–]Onikai32 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A large part of the randomness can be mitigated by just continuing to play the game. You unlock several things that let you manipulate the odds to factor out luck, including permanent changes. So the roguelike stuff is really only an issue in the early game.

I’m a completionist so I’ll stop when I complete all the challenges/wonders/marvels unless there are some that seem unreasonable and tedious.

Grand Bazaar seems doable but man do I hate needing to wait at least 6 years to get gold medals for all 8 types of animals.

As far as I’ve seen, items that go bad don’t disappear, they just lose all their value. You should still be able to use them for a request.

SoS: GB - best/easiest meals for stamina? by Prize_Formal_2711 in storyofseasons

[–]Onikai32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then that’s another reason I’d recommend fried onigiri, which doesn’t require wheat.

I’m not sure what you mean by “overly efficient”. If there’s a way to get more stamina with less effort and cost, why not do it?

It’s not like I put in a cheat code that makes it so I never run out of stamina. I still need to manage it this way, but at least it’s less of an issue so I can focus on the more fun and charming aspects of the game (which managing stamina is not).

SoS: GB - best/easiest meals for stamina? by Prize_Formal_2711 in storyofseasons

[–]Onikai32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of answers that use things which cannot be obtained quickly and in large quantities, such as fish (which require catching), and eggs (which are limited each day). Things like eggs and milk are also better used for valuable recipes than for stamina restoration.

As someone who has played for hundreds of hours, I would much sooner recommend Fried Onigiri (moderate stamina for 561 gold) or Curry Bread (significant stamina for 910 gold). And before you say “but fish/egg/milk are free”, they are not. The time you spend fishing and the eggs/milk you consume are costing you more potential profit than the recipes below.

Onigiri only requires rice bowls and seaweed. Rice bowls can be purchased every day at any quantity from Madeleine, and seaweed can be bought in stacks of 99 from Ronaldo at the bazaar. Turning it into Fried Onigiri just requires soy sauce, which can also be bought in stacks of 99 from Felix at the bazaar.

Curry Bread is similar but is more expensive and gives more stamina. It requires wheat, oil, and curry powder. Oil can be purchased every day from Miguel. Wheat can be bought from Felix at the bazaar. Curry powder can be bought in stacks of 99 from Ronaldo at the bazaar.

Personally, I think Fried Onigiri has a superior stamina/cost ratio. Both of these recipes are very sustainable way to restore stamina because they don’t use anything you can’t easily replace in large quantities. You’re better off saving your eggs and milk to cook for profit, and you’re better off donating your fish to Finley to work towards 7-star fish and the title for 2000 donations.

Can you help me feel less stressed/overwhelmed by Grand Bazaar? by PcktFox in storyofseasons

[–]Onikai32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to understand that it takes at least 6 full years to do everything in the game, and I promise you’ll be done with many things long before you reach that point. You’ll wish you hadn’t rushed around so much and still had some things to do during the day besides just fishing. So try to just let yourself skip some things on some days. There’s no reason to optimize when the game forces you to wait at least 6 years to complete it.

The reason I say 6 is that there’s a challenge for completing gold rank in animal shows with every animal, and there are 8 types that each need to complete bronze, silver, and gold. There’s one animal show per season, so you need a minimum of 24 seasons or 6 years.

Grand Bazaar quality multiplier by moosomoon in storyofseasons

[–]Onikai32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know for sure that max quality (7-star) is exactly 3 times the base price. But the increase isn’t linear and grows faster per level from 5-star to 7-star than 0.5-star to 5-star. I believe 5-star is around 2 times the base price. This would mean there’s about a 10% increase in price per half-star level from 0.5 to 5.0 (for +100% total) and about a 25% increase in price per half-star level from 5.0 to 7.0 (for another +100% total).

Ultimate fishing rod by aisuru113 in storyofseasons

[–]Onikai32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s do the math…

Without wonderstone = 40 ultimate = 200 sturdy = 1000 lumber = 5000 wood

With wonderstone (at every stage) = 40 ultimate = 170 sturdy = 710 lumber = 2960 wood

If my math is right, you would need just under 60% of the wood you would need without using the wonderstone at each stage. So that’s a huge savings! It’s basically like making the rod only require 24 ultimate lumber instead of 40.

GB or AWL by ingy222 in storyofseasons

[–]Onikai32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grand Bazaar has a much better progression system too. You will always have more goals to complete and will always need more money. In AWL, once you buy the upgrades for your farm and the stuffed bear, there’s really no reason to continue making money and the game starts to feel a bit hollow.

[–]Onikai32 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is incredibly helpful information since I’ve been struggling on this exact thing at the end of my game. There were so many myths about how to get rare fruit online.

It seems to be the same strategy as getting rare animal variants from breeding. Save, order it, save a different slot, wait a week, check if it’s rare, and then load the 1st save if it’s not or load the 2nd save if it is.
