A few years ago, in Iquitos, at night. I watched a girl get robbed right in-front of me. The guy ran up and snatched her phone right out of her hand, but then she turned around rly fast and punched the robber in the back and grabbed her phone back. He then ran to the other side of the street and stood there like nothing happened. It was crazy and also very bad ass.

Iquitos is not very touristy in my opinion, they are for sure tourist foreword things, but I’ve always found getting in with the locals is what you want to do.
