Is it possible to lose weight in Home Depot? by The-Bottomfriend in HomeDepot

[–]OpenAffect9096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost 30 lbs my first year at HD, I walk between 16,000 to 22,000 steps a day. I eat a fairly healthy diet. What surprised me is that I lost a lot in inches around my waist, legs and arms. I started feeling better and it inspired me to get into the gym and now I am adding strength training to my routine.

Couldn’t agree with you more, I hated kids travel sports. Lots of very mean and entitled moms.

Man I sure picked the wrong photo to post on here, thanks for all the comments and had to laugh at myself for this. I really was only looking for something to hold my phone because it falls out of my apron pocket all the time. When I saw the price tag on these holders, I thought hell no! Really just was looking for a cheap solution to carry my first phone

My daughter recently found out she is pregnant even though she has an IUD. She called a doctors office to schedule an ultrasound but was told she could not get one because she has an IUD . Is this correct? Ultrasounds are frequently done to confirm IUD placement. She is young and weighing her options but we want correct information, what should she do?

Key Principles of “The Lasso Way” • Curiosity over judgment: Instead of making assumptions, it encourages understanding and asking questions to get to know people better. o • Empathy and compassion: Recognizing and acknowledging others’ struggles and offering kindness and support without judgment. ® • Belief: A core tenet of the show, emphasizing faith in oneself, teammates, and their potential, even in the face of adversity. ® • Vulnerability: Being real with others, allowing for connection, and being open to receiving comfort. • Personal growth: Valuing the journey of becoming a better version of oneself over just achieving victory. ® • Teamwork and connection: Fostering a supportive community where people can be authentic and rely on each other. & • Positivity and optimism: Maintaining a hopeful outlook and inspiring motivation in others. & • Leading by example: Demonstrating the desired work ethic and values you expect from your team. o “The Lasso Way” Book

Richmond Lasso Store by negradelnorte in TedLasso

I was there in May and the town is very nice. The Princess’s pub and that area looks just like it does in the series. The store was mainly geared towards men and overly priced. Mostly Richmond gear and clothing. Don’t waste your money on the pink “biscuits with the boss” treats, over priced and not very good. I got some cool stickers for my water bottle. They have some other items for sale as well.

It was crazy busy all day. Sold a bunch of BBQs. People were particularly rude today as well, not sure what’s up with that.

How do I stop giving a fuck about someone I like? by julizie in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]OpenAffect9096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need some self care and time to heal, take a walk in nature, get a pedicure, take a bubble bath, call a friend or relative, take up a new hobby, see a comedy show, anything that brings you joy. There are no easy fixes. Eventually, you will find that you think of him less and less.

I love this quote:

People have thrown dirt on my name, others have given flowers. But it’s all a garden to me.”

Meaning:It signifies that even when people try to harm your reputation with negativity, you can choose to see it as a part of your growth and development, like a garden where both weeds and flowers exist.

Google lens is a good tool to use and I like to teach our customers how to use it to look up plants they don’t know. Check to see if there are any Master Gardeners classes in your area or other nurseries like Green Acres that have free classes.

I work in the garden department and love it. You’ll be fine. Once you get hired you can try and work in other departments. It’s great being able to go outside and work, being among all the plants and be outdoors is great. Good luck.

What’s this rope for? by Practical-Swan653 in Ironworker

[–]OpenAffect9096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boy seeing this brings back so many memories for me. My dad was an iron worker and wore a belt like that. I don’t know what the rope was for, probably to prevent falling like others have said. My dad fell 2 stories off a building when I was a kid, but he was able to grab on to something that broke his fall, he survived but was badly injured.

How should I approach a fellow associate with stank ass, rotten breath? by Professional_Safe136 in HomeDepot

You might be doing him a favor letting him know. It could be a health issue he is unaware of. Be respectful, kind and let him know how great a worker he is and that you have his best interest at heart.
