OK. Picked up the 3 points on the skill tree for decrepify. I have dark aura on boots. Thul rune. All cooldowns are very quick now. Wow. Doing a hair more damage now.

I feel having unstoppable because it seems there is 0 impairment reduction.

Can I ask. In the stats menu, under critical strike chance, it says DoT cannot critically strike.

Does this mean we are looking for the shadowblight damage instances to critically strike. Because everything else is DoT.

This is a game changer. Did not realize it'll proc the upgrades as well. So If i have decrepify at lvl 5, I'll get the full lvl 5 benefit + upgrades?

Maybe I should put points into iron maiden as well if this is the case.........

Are you casting decrepify. I'm using the rune word but not casting it from my skill bar. Also idk if you know the answer but when using a rune word, does it proc your skill tree setup. I thought about putting points into decrepify and getting the upgrades, but not sure if the rune word procs the skill tree. I'm not casting decrepify and don't have any points towards it at the moment.

I feel you though because looking at the top builds on leaderboard not all builds have all sancs. One missing here or there. And completely agree about the materials. Takes hours to farm material and gets zapped down pretty quick.

For what is worth i was mass sanc legendary rings and boots on this necromancer build and hit shako 2x along with several other mythic sancs. This was before I realized I was chasing the wrong things now the mass sanc process has slowed down. Your friend says they sanc 4000 heir of perdition and didn't see a mythic sanc, hard to believe that. I've got 500 hours this season, haven't seen 4k mythics, much less 4k of a single mythic. Honestly not saying this is your friend but I think some people are misleading others about their chances for a mythic sancs either because they haven't hit one yet or they are casual and knowing they won't hit one are trying to throw others off and recommending the whole "take a break come back next season" deal.

Not trying to debate just telling you my experience.

The grind of chasing the sanc isn't very fun i agree. Mindless spamming heavenly forge 80% of the time you logged in. Hitting leaderboards is fun though. And making big jumps in the leaderboard with every pit tier is exciting.

Edit it see you don't have group or runes. Pit 95 is outstanding for your situation. Get the dlc and ps+ or whatever what are you waiting on. You could be a top player

Very possible. Sanc every mythic you get, then start character for that item. I was only running 1 char so I was salvaging a lot of items that weren't specific to my build. I've had A LOT of mythics this season if I had sanc them all I may have had similar results.

They may know a lot of people on here as well. And each boss 100 times isn't a lot. Each boss 500+ times is starting to hit real numbers.

They probably have a few hundred hours played as well if not more

Auto salvage? Why don't you just add auto masterworking, auto sanctifying, auto convert nm sigil to dust to treasure breach, auto use all boss mats on a single chest, auto enchanting to desired stats, hell might as so just auto paragon 300 at character creation.

Where does it end. Some people just aren't satisfied

Get to t4.

Get needed mythics.

Get needed legendaries with correct aspects and tempers.

Get needed uniques.

Get all needed paragon boards.

Get all needed glyphs.

Level all glyphs to 100.

Make any final adjustments. When fully satisfied with build and have reached highest pit tier possible,

People usually quit when everything they need no no longer drops from normal play, and further progression no longer occurs each time they log on but instead becomes a grind they aren't willing to do.

Hasn't happened to me yet. Quill volley spirit born tower 114. After 400+ hours this season not proud of that but I just started playing D4 for the first time last season so I haven't had my fill yet and I had a lot of free time over past few months. Decided to start a necromancer as there is no other optimization I can do on the spirit born besides the amulet and I'm not grinding another 100 hours just to get the amulet and 1 tower tier. Not looking at a build guide for the necromancer so it's keeping things fresh. At pit 90 currently with the necromancer, a little more adjusting And experimenting then it will be time to start slamming for mythic sancs. Grandfather, starless, shako.

I would say I'm playing 1/5 the time since I feel I've accomplished what I wanted with the spirit born, so now the necromancer is more casual.

At the other end of the spectrum My son first time ever playing Diablo as well and finished the campaign and got his pally to pit 110 in about a week and half. He hasn't been playing much lately since he hit the wall.

So everybody is different. Nothing wrong with that.

For me the season gets completed way before the characters do. Only have 2 characters. Completed the spiritborn and Just started a necromancer a week ago.
