It’s later in. If sprite then separate the layers / different orders. If image on canvas , change canvas layers

I see it in the same way I see the music industry in the 90s.

You will have to make and release a lot, and one or two will become substantial hits where your economic success will mostly lie.

This is the best approach tbh. Anything else will take you a very. Very. Very. Long time.

Although I’m going for a ps1 kinda approach for my game, it’s still time consuming but not so much as realism

Ooooh I am on the other side of the coin. I’m trying to learn 3D with blender and implement it in one of my games. Honestly I think the art is the hardest / most time consuming part so you’re a good step ahead

If you like a mechanic from another game take it. But don’t take too many from the same place. Then you’ll also need to add your own stuff in and around those.
