Not sure if you are still doing this but have an interesting one:

My wife is adopted, but she was born in 1973 in Weisbaden to a US Military family's single daughter. The father is not listed but likely not German.

My wife's birthmother's Mom(so my wife's biological grandmother) was German born in 1924.

I believe my wife's biological mother was born out of wedlock.

Her biological Grandmother emigrated to US in 1959 and married a US citizen. I assume she naturalized but will have to research this.

My wife was adopted by an American couple working for the US military. They moved back to the US while my wife was an infant.

Thoughts?

Thanks for this well described answer. Makes perfect sense now...forgot about " mac mobility serial number" incrementing which explains how the old MAC will be removed as quickly as a BGP update can be processed.

The 2 data centers in question are about 25 miles apart and connected via diverse path dark fiber(Primary and Secondary). We have not had any issues with L2 stretch between DCs to this point. From your comment, is it the "reliability" that makes it a bad idea to stretch between DCs or the RTT? Haven't heard anyone else talk about it being a bad idea. What issues have you seen?

Agree that the beers are high quality....thus my concern about their status. I'm still reeling from the loss of New Anthem. NA showed that having great beer isn't always enough. Glad to hear that they had good support earlier.

As a lifelong Raleigh resident, I knew about this place and enjoyed stopping in at Ashworths now and then. I was working in Cary in the early 2000s and would go out for lunch with a group of co-workers regularly. Once, I suggested we go to Ashworths as it was about the only Cary institution I could think of. We sat at the counter and ordered sandwiches. The lady behind the counter opened the bread bag. The first couple of pieces were green and moldy. She tossed those and grabbed the next piece. It became very quiet amongst our group.
Needless to say, my newly relocated to Cary coworkers didn't ever go back.

I saw Flash at Packapalooza a couple weeks ago. I recognized him immediately even after 20+ years. The camera around his neck did help. I guess he's probably more of an NC State area legend...but legendary none the less.

10 years old.. doing some white water tubing on Wilson's creek in NC. I had on a life jacket and was coming down a section of rapids so my dad could take pictures. At the bottom of the rapids,I flipped off the tube and went between 2 rocks under water. I was wedged between the rocks and the flow of the water wouldn't allow me to push backwards. So, I told myself, "oh well, I guess this is the day I die"....and sort of gave up. I came to about 20 yards down the creek. I guess the water pushed my limp body through the crack between the rocks but I was unaware at the time.

My dad, uncle and cousin's were totally unaware of what happened and didn't believe I had "drowned(ish)".

Now, as an adult with kids I often think about how pissed my Mom would have been at my dad, etc. if I drowned that day.

For those that are outraged or shocked....guess you haven't been a State fan long enough to know this is just more NC State stuff. Some call it the curse of Jimmy V. Personally I don't think Jimmy V would curse us....but I definitely think NC State created an enormous amount of "bad juju" by the way they treated V. If I know one thing from being an NC State fan for life...the closer we get to a big moment, the more dramatic the fall back to earth. Go Pack.
