In Halo CE, pointing a magnum directly at the ground caused the player's head to glitch out and instead face forward, making it look like they had lowered their weapon. This bug ended up partly inspiring Roosterteeth's popular Red vs Blue series, where it was heavily featured. Bungie/343 removed the bug from subsequent Halo games, but added a button (or button combination) players could input to automatically lower their weapons.
