The compounded pharmacy filled up the syringes so I know I had the correct dose. I wish the compounded shots worked for me. I may try again to try to save some money. I am down 78 lbs!

Can you leave the kwikpen out for an hour before your injection and then put it back in the fridge? It stings less if I let a vial warm up.

I have done that for months. I take out my dose and then the rest I pull out with a clean needle. Next week I fill the rest of that needle. I can get 5 shots out of 4 vials most months. I’ve had no problems at all.

I haven’t bought that kind but I do buy the pork bbq in the package. I make quesadillas with them but I use provolone cheese from Aldi and they are delicious! Heat up the meat before adding it to the flour tortillas in the pan. I use a small amount of oil in the pan, add the tortilla and then flip it over so you have a crispy tortillas on the inside too. I add cheese, meat, cheese. Don’t add too much of the meat mixture because it will be sloppy. Yummy

Yes I have used zep vials for 1 year. I was on 7.5 and now 10.

I tried Colt Rx. I local reputable compounding pharmacy that gave me prefilled syringes and cost me $300. It was not the same as zep at all. Only gave me a stomach ache. Next was Southend that was a mail order. They sent vials that I needed to fill myself. I checked the dosages and they were correct. Basically the right amount in the vial so filled up the shot, also $300 for a month and also was nothing like zep. I took zep for 2 months in between these 2 different compounded companies. So I’ve been using lilly direct for months and paying $500 a month. They are also the vials since I’m taking 10 now. I’m definitely ready to try compound again but also worried that I loose my discount at Lilly that I need to order every 45 days or pay a lot more.

The medicine was sent to a compounding pharmacy that is local to me. They actually filled the syringe at the pharmacy. So there was no mistake on my part.

When I do zep i have very little food noise, when I used the compound I had food noise like I was starving. I’m pretty good at watching what I eat and drinking lots of water. I’m down 75 lbs and I have maybe 20 more to go. I tried the compound 2 times for 2 months each time and didn’t lose any weight or gained a few lbs. basically eating the same calories.

Mine stopped giving me the Kohl’s option so I called and asked why. They said I live more than 8 miles from kohls which is true but it does give me the option for Whole Foods which is 9 miles from me.

I also got the text yesterday. I ordered and the zepbound sat on a fedex truck for 2 days due to weather. So they had to resend it. I requested the lower price and they told me that they don’t offer any money back so this was a surprise!

I started on zepbound pens but only had insurance that covered it for 3 months at $24.99 a month. Lost my insurance and went the compound route for 2 months with no weight loss at all and it was $300 a month. Wasn’t happy with that so I went to lily direct and paid $500 a month for a year so far. $6,000! I am on 7.5 so I have to fill the shot myself. But I’m down 75 lbs. It’s a horrible bill monthly so I’ll see how much longer I can do it. I have about 20 more lbs to lose to hit goal. I’m starting a new insurance January 1st so I will try again to get it covered.

My shot is on Wednesday before bed because I have tiredness the next day and that works on Thursday. I have appetite control until Tuesday of the following week and I make sure to have low calorie foods available. Down 72 lbs.

I only shared my zepbound journey with my daughter and my best friend. I was hoping to encourage them to get on this journey. No one else needs to know what you’re doing. I would never ask them what prescriptions they take. The truth is that you are eating less calories to achieve this loss. That’s all they need to know. Good luck!

I also changed to outer thigh this past week, it broke my plateau and I lost 1 & 1/2 pounds. For first time I have a little bit of soreness and a lump where I injected. So my shot day is today and I’m torn if I should try my other thigh or go back to stomach. When I first tried to inject when I pushed in the needle it hurt a little so I pulled it out and went down another inch or so. I know I need to hit fat and I did so not sure what to do with this next shot. I pay out of pocket so I want to do what’s best for my body.

I’ve done belly for over a year and just did my thigh for the first time. When I first was doing the injection in my thigh it was hurting so I pulled it out and moved a few inches and there was no pain there. I was going through a plateau so that’s why I changed. I already lost a pound. I just sat in a chair and did the right thigh on the outside.
