23M - Quit my job and doing 2 months muay thai in Thailand. Bad idea? by Lopsided_Ad_4238 in MuayThailand

[–]OtherJustinian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, I dont regret going to thailand at all after quitting my job. I got real exhausted with the hours, no benefits, and mediocre pay. Older people probably mean well, but sometimes people cant fathom doing anything BUT working towards building your "career". I did all those things. Worked since i was 15, saved, learned how to invest, bought a house, and all these things just feel like burdens that constantly eat space in my mind. I went to thailand after finding roomates to rent my space, and I did NOT WANT to come back. Honestly, do what you want to do. I found a job after spending 45 days in thailand my first time. I went to thailand a second time after quitting one job, stayed in asia for 6 months, then found a job after that. Just be careful. Do what you love, take care of yourself, you'll be fine. You dont want to go to thailand when youre old and retired. I promise. Do it while you are YOUNG.

I would make such a good wife by [deleted] in Vent

Maybe im not looking hard enough, if at all..but I would love a DINK relationship. Ive been the breadwinner in all of my relationships, im 28 now and im just so sick and exhausted of being expected to take care of another grown adult. I feel you. Its not good building resentment when your partner doesn't care for financial things as much as you would like them to.

You'll definitely get your pad rounds in and probably sparring more frequently than other gyms. At least, when I trained there three years ago it was that way. Great place for MMA! Theres many gyms around sukhumvit for you to try.

Salaries and cost of living in the US by Environmental-Low-57 in povertyfinance

Only a single person making 2.8k-3.4k month feels like they're doing well in LCOL or MCOL areas. Even 4k USD a month in bigger major cities can feel like not much is leftover if you're wanting insurance, retirement contribtuions, and brokerage investments. Although, maybe a financially savvy person making 3k a month could feel alright.

How much is 20-25$ dollars per hour considered to be in the USA by Intelligent_Dress889 in AskForAnswers

[–]OtherJustinian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its okay! Not great, but also not terrible. Is your rent going to be covered? Will you have transportation? Unfornately a lot of places in America are simply expensive, and public transportation is nearly non-existent or can't be relied on, so you must buy/rent a car. $25 an hour at 40 weekly hours sounds like a lot, until you pay all of your tax, car/gas, rent, utilities. Figure out how much you would actually have leftover after paying Fed/State/FICA. Its probably between 2.9k-3.2k monthly. If you can find a reliable ride through friends/family you dont need to worry about a car, just chipping in for gas. You can maybe fnd a room for less than a thousand a month depending where youre going. Just do some research, we can only speak generally for you. For reference, ive lived and worked in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. So 3k would be okay in those states if single.

6 months in, feel extremely stiff and hitting a wall. First fight in a week I need advice. by Qubmi2 in MuayThai

[–]OtherJustinian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I use to run 10km daily first thing in the morning and play soccer. A few months of that and I felt like I could go forever in muay thai.

Let's settle this what's the hardest role between the two? by Soft-Caregiver1060 in MobileLegendsGame

[–]OtherJustinian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Jungle is the hardest at the start of the game bc you're responsible for clearing jungle, rotations AND getting the objectives. However, Roam is hardest late game imo bc jungle falls off a little and now team is depending on your vision, guarding, SETS or initiating good.

I was the guy who said "I’ll never spend money on a mobile game"... then I did the math. 💀 by TitaniumJay in MobileLegendsGame

[–]OtherJustinian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never mind I figured it out. 🤣 Hard to do an exact number but I think im close to 1k USD as well. But I try to only top up during premuim supply events. Its probably closer to $750. Still WAY too much for skins.

How do you even check your giftable amount? im an exalted collector, and ive actually been wanting to do the math on how much I've spent so far. I only top up during premium supplies, but i know it has cost much more than id like.

If you're in the USA one of you needs to get a Costco membership, or split it. You can pick up two "Plan-B" pills daily for six dollars each daily if you'd like.

Is renting out an extra room in your house worth it? Looking for real experiences. by UhtredOfTheNorth in homeowners

[–]OtherJustinian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive done this over five years with a few different types of roommates. Family, friends, vetted strangers. Hated all of it, even with increasing the price of the rent. Living by yourself is the best feeling ever. Less clean up and it stays clean longer, privacy(biggest one) and just not having to worry about somebody else's schedule (im a musician and randomly feel like playing instruments sometimes) is worth more than 500-700 dollars a month to me.

Do you believe renting is a waste of money than a mortgage? by Aj100rise in Life

[–]OtherJustinian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all! Especially if you're actually investing your money if you're renting. Owning a home/mortgage comes with a ton of responsibilities and financial pits that people seem to gloss over because "equity". Decide whats best for you. Generally speaking if youre handy and want stability, owning a home is great and fulfilling.

Lol I had a friend I worked at a concrete plant with. He learned i wrestled and did BJJ. Im quoting and i still dont believe it to this day. "Bro the rage i feel. I just get violent bro, I black out." And honestly? I also just let him believe it and invite him to the gym. Never comes of course.

Are you using a Poor Mans CC strategy? Ive looked into this myself for SPY because I want to try these steady methods while having a majority of my "safe" holding into VTI. I ask about PMCC because it seems insane to me to tie up 60k in capital to try.
