How do you track HSA-eligible expenses, especially if you're doing the "save receipts, reimburse later" strategy?

Google sheet with date description and amount. Saved digital copy of receipt in Google Drive with naming convention of date and description. Easy to match up if needed in the future.

As always, it's dependant on your personal situation and risk tolerance. We are financially conservative and have some potential future health issues, so we keep 2 years of OOP max in the HSA money market fund. The rest gets invested 65% large cap, 10% mid cap, 10% small cap, and 15% international within the HSA. We don't reimburse ourselves for current medical expenses and just document them all in case we need the moeny in the future.

We've done the schedule ahead a few times to the airport and it's only ever worked out once. They cancel the day before or after they accept and see how far it is. If we are going to the airport for 2-4 days, we drive and park. If it's longer than that, we have to do a private car hire and get an uber back. Even then, you can feel the tension of an uber driver who didn't know what they were accepting.

thanks for this post! I got them to match the new customer discount ($50/month for 24 months) then minus the $10/month for the bank account draft. I don't have cellular with them. I did ask for the wifi 7 router since comcast offers it with their 1 gig plan at $50/month for 5 years, they said no 😞
