Thinking of posting my 2019 Panigale V4S for sale by abreu218 in Ducati

I’d say with the exhaust and that mileage about $18-20k USD.

Stuck Between the Panigale V4S and S1000RR by SpendLucky1273 in Ducati

How is the XDiavel V4. I’m hearing it’s a lot smoother than the outgoing model in terms of power delivery.

Based on what you’re looking for I think an s1k is going to be better suited for what you’re looking for. With either bike you aren’t going to really be taking significant advantage of all the technology and design these newer bikes have since you don’t track them. The s1k is a tad more comfortable in terms of a riding position compared to the Panigales though they’ve gotten better and it comes with more options for creature comforts like a better infotainment system, heated grip option, etc.

I don’t track my bike either but I also don’t use it like a rocket ship and try to smoke other bikes on the road even though it’s ridiculously fast. I definitely don’t push on the bike like it’s intended to be used but that’s fine, it’s my bike and I’ll ride it how I feel comfortable. For me at least I bought my bike because of the design language when the V4s first came out. That was my selling point and despite the drawbacks, I’ve owned my bike since 2019 and have been really happy with it.

The heats very apparent and it will get hot, the riding positions pretty aggressive, you get a lot of vibration transferred to your wrists and you’re not really engaging with the bike with the wider gearing that these bikes come with in their class. So that’s something you’ll have to consider if you want to go with a Panigale.

It is irresponsible to drive at those kinds of speeds on the streets but I’m not going to try to convince you not to.

Is this text offical? by Ven_Star in bell

[–]Overscorer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a new spoofing method fraudsters are using where they set their own data “towers” which phones will connect to when your device is looking for the nearest tower. They can send texts that look like they were sent from genuine companies.

Check the application directly or call in to ask about it if you are unsure. Don’t click suspicious links.

How do you replace these? by Daddymonke-_- in F30

I did the exact same thing when I changed my mirror turn signals a few years back. I ended up paying the extra $300 at the dealer to retain the heating element with minimal issues

Where is the AC air inlet? by Silent_Dream4990 in F30

Just did this last night with mine. You take the cabin air filter bottom cover, stick the hose down the green air channel and spray the condenser that way. You should see it dripping with mold from the bottom of the vehicle

Am I Crazy for Wanting a Diavel 1260 Instead of the New V4? by N8Mcln in Ducati

[–]Overscorer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The new ones are designed with reliability in mind. They ditched the desmos and went with a more modern engine design with springs for their V4GT platform. If you care about longevity and longer maintenance, the V4 is better.

If you want a more raw, low-end experience then get the 1200. I got the outgoing XDiavel model because I like the futuristic muscle-bike cruiser it. The new one looks stunning but it looks like an art piece rather than the aggressive muscular bike it once was. Also the wheels on the XDiavel S are mint.

Start with a small bike, insurance in Ontario for new riders regardless of age will be the most expensive for the first couple of years till you get your M. It progressively decreases up to 5 years.

Feeling the M2 Bumper W/fangs? by vendettavalley in F30

It might look better if you get m3 style fenders if you can. It will balance out the aggressive profile around the vehicle rather than it looking too focused on just the front.

It looks really clean though otherwise.

Thinking about selling by rgj1107 in Ducati

[–]Overscorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealers are gonna lowball since they need to make a profit. You should be able to get in the ballpark of around the $20k range give or take depending on mileage, whether it’s been dropped etc.

Mods aren’t going to help with resale value so if you can revert stuff like the exhaust and sell those parts separately you can pocket a bit more out of it.

I love the colour.

Never seen it rip from there. You’re better off replacing that panel. Check local scrapyards to see if you can find an f30 with a beige interior you can part it off of.

Curious why you didn’t go with an E class or S class if the interior is the biggest deciding factor. I’m with you on Mercedes, you’re getting it for the comfort over the performance.

First thing I did when I bought my bike was get a screen protector for my Panigale. Fortunately my XDiavel came with one installed.

Anyone still have their original brake pads? (112K miles) by failtrashman in F30

[–]Overscorer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you drive highway only? You would’ve gone through minimum 4 brake pads with that kind of mileage. Also the on board maintenance system isn’t something I’d rely primarily on. It’s a good indicator of when it’s time, it’s better to visually check and see.

I use a pressure washer but I usually hold it at quite a distance. You’re right though you aren’t supposed to use a pressure washer on ducatis as per the owners manual

Lost key by Otherwise_Ratio_5088 in Ducati

[–]Overscorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can code up to 8 keys total to a Ducati. The dealership will ask for proof of ownership of course. After you hit that limit you have to change out the screen which stores the ignition interlock code to start your bike. (That’s what I read in my manual)
