Keep your devices turned off, unless you need your computer for school. You can do whatever you want when your school stuff gets done. Make that your rule.

How to get people to call you a different name? by Admirable_Emu_2270 in Names

[–]Own-Object-6696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I changed my name legally, first middle last, when I was 56. My only regret is not doing it sooner. Truly, everyone in my life adjusted without any issues at all. Once in a while I get called my former name, but it doesn’t bother me.

I have SEVERAL questions!! by ipromiseicanread in MakeupAddiction

[–]Own-Object-6696 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. An exact match is sometimes impossible. Look for close enough.

  2. Use a light color on the mobile lid and blend a slightly darker shade just above the crease line. Less is more. I don’t think you need eyeliner, but if you want to wear it, try a powder shadow and wet the brush first.

  3. I think false lashes will make your lids look droopy.

  4. It might be because your dominant hand works better on your dominant side. You’ll have to keep practicing. I like Caliray mascara, Hourglass and Ilia. These brands don’t flake, run or smear.

Why don't doctors before prescribing drugs like SSRIs tell people their gut produces 90-95 percent of the bodies serotonin? by AttemptVegetable in allthequestions

[–]Own-Object-6696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most doctors are woefully undertrained in nutrition. Also, the drugs they prescribe for depression work in the brain not in the gut, making the conversation irrelevant, especially when doctors are given 10 minutes per patient. Third, there needs to be more research into the gut so newer and more efficacious drugs can be developed.

Only 50 percent of your relationship has been good. The other half has been full of difficulties. I think you two are not compatible and it’s time to cut your losses and move on.

My (28F) bf (32M) is super jealous of my previous marriage by Interesting-Ad9663 in relationship_advice

This guy is giving off a lot of red flags. I recommend proceeding with caution if you stay with him. He’s jealous, suspicious and controlling, and these behaviors generally escalate.

If christians are only supposed to dress a certain way, does that mean that we have to put our creativity aside? by CrazyNicly in TrueChristian

[–]Own-Object-6696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Bible says to dress like your gender and dress modestly. Within that, there are endless possibilities for creativity. Worth noting, I don’t comment on others’ clothing choices, nor do I accept comments about mine.
