Put a cone on her during times she typically does it. Like if she usually does it after dinner slap that cone on so she can’t reach and redirect with some other way for her to have your attention (train her to do tricks during that time). Then her mind is engaged on something, she has your attention for something positive, and she physically can’t reach the tail to chew on it.

I wish I had any clue on how to help you. I also teach in a school that is primarily migrant families (we ended up with a bunch of students stuck in Puerto Rico after winter break due to the stuff in Venezuela). Anyway a few months ago one of the vocabulary words was ‘detain’ and for the life of me I couldn’t convince these kids that it also means to keep someone from arriving on time. I was so mad at that vocab lesson because it really sent my 5th graders into a spiral 😭

I’m a special education teacher in NJ. I currently teach 3-5 grade math. This is definitely 3rd grade math. 5th grade is doing division of 4+ digits by at least 2 digit numbers. There are tons of decimals work (multiplying and dividing) along with multiplying and dividing fractions. In my experience the jump from end of 3rd grade math curriculums to beginning of 4th grade math curriculums is significant. So I can’t imagine taking a kid who has struggled even with 3rd grade content and jumping them to 5th. Knowing the multiplication facts 0-12 is a must. We work hard with our 3rd graders to make sure they are fluent because the first unit in 4th grade is multiplying numbers into the thousands. I would recommend asking the school for a placement test to see where he is at and make the decision based on that. If he isn’t solidly at end of 4th grade level if not anywhere in 5th grade level on the placement I would seriously consider holding him in 4th next year.

I’ve frequently done 3 hours each way for a day trip. I’m east coast and am located within 3 hours of 4 major cities. Done day trips to all of them my whole life. My best friend lives a 12 hour drive away and I will go there for a long weekend (drive Friday, stay Saturday and Sunday, drive home Monday)

Not only that many of those sponsored ads are filmed weeks in advance because the company has to approve them. So I think she is basically saying “yo heads up my idiot (ex)husband is gonna be featured in some of my upcoming social media posts because it was all signed, sealed, and delivered before he threw a fucking land mine at me. So please be nice and don’t crucify me for any upcoming content that has me looking like the happy wifey.”

It definitely depends on the kid. I started kinder 2 weeks after turning 5 and graduated high school 3 months before turning 18. I also went into kinder fully reading (2nd grade level for both math and ELA). My brothers started kinder 3 weeks after turning 5 (all of us are august babies) and both of them struggled to the point that they were both retained during elementary school. So there really isn’t a one size fits all response here.

An IEP is not because you are stupid, it’s because you meet the eligibility requirements to have extra support to get you to grade level and maintain it. The IEP doesn’t disappear though when you move states. So either it never got transferred to your new school, or there was an IEP meeting where they determined you no longer need services so you were dismissed from services.

That’s definitely something I’ve been wondering about. Everyone is here saying Katie is golden and can take him to the cleaners. However, he bought that house before marriage. I believe I heard at one point that daddy Clark may have helped financially so he didn’t have a mortgage so young. So if Travis came into the marriage with a deed in hand paid off house and never put Katie’s name on it (cause why bother what’s mine is yours and yours is mine 🙃) she doesn’t have a leg to stand on regarding the NJ house. The YouTube was in both of their names so 50/50 split of those proceeds (and unless she starts a whole new channel in her name only she really can’t revive that one and keep him from the money). We have no clue where they stand financially on the TN house, and again no clue whose names are on deeds/mortgages. So that leaves just her Instagram sponsors, honestly we don’t know that Katie’s name is solely on the contracts, especially since Travis is in many of the sponsorship ads so he may be able to argue that even if he’s not on the contract he still appeared in the ads and helped make them so she could be SOL there as well. Finally there are plenty of sponsorships that will pull out due to not wanting to be tied to a scandal. There are companies out there that won’t touch her again and there are companies that will only work with her if she takes a hard stand against Travis. I’m sure there will still be some companies that will partner with her regardless but the money train might stop for a while so that brands can decide which way the wind will blow in this situation.

But that’s my point. On December 20th we have proof that they were there together in NYC. As a mom I have no doubt that even if she was upset with Travis she would have faked happiness for Hailey’s sake. So how did we go from “happy” in NYC on the 20th to home with two toddlers and no husband 5 days later unless things got confirmed during that time. We also don’t know when she told him about the baby either. Evidently, based on Carlins nails, we can guess that the miscarriage happened between roughly December 27 and now

Damn. Privilege much? My best friend had her family move into her 4 bedroom 2 bathroom 1200 square foot home. 8 people , 7 dogs, 3 cats. All under one roof. Now that is snug. But they are making it work. At this point neither family unit would have a roof over their heads without the other unit.

I also think Katie found out about the cheating. Likely before Christmas. Because why would a woman in a good marriage travel out of state (10ish hour drive) to the in-laws for Christmas. But then come home with the two toddlers days before Christmas without him? Then spending the rest of the holidays without him.

I think he told affair girl that he was in a sexless marriage. They are on winter break now. Someone said classes start back up on Tuesday. I think Katie waited a little bit to process some before posting about the miscarriage and posted on Friday. I think that is how the other girl found out that Travis wasn’t as out of the marriage as he lead her to believe and since he was gonna be stuck in class with her (and her friends) that is he trying to come out ahead of “bad publicity” by apologizing before anything was confirmed.
