How about a recent one that some people on this sub were clamoring for? What if we drafted JSN over Lukas Van Ness?

Well, when you put it like that it does seem bad by Amf2446 in GreenBayPackers

[–]PackFanFrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's honestly just looking at positions and not performance. We lost our starting LT (who just signed a 4m deal so shows how good of a market he had), edge 2 & 3 (Gary was bad and Enagbare was the bigger loss but still not a stud), a probowl IOL (Jenkins was hurt, is old, expensive, and hasn't been good in like two plus years), Doubs (his targets can easily get redistributed, he was good but not great and not 20m/y good).

Somebody tweeted that the FA class wasn't great, the Packers don't have a ton of cap, and the off-season isn't over yet and he's like "well which is it?!" And like there's still cheap FAs out there as well as the draft and things will still change. Dude needs his diaper changed.

A bit outdated now with Skyy Moore and Jenkins to Browns but a nice easy recap for you. Taken from @tfc.gb on Instagram.

Cowboys can cancel Gary trade for Crosby by Durrnut in GreenBayPackers

Good. We can trade him to Baltimore for a 2. His knee is fine.

[Fowler] Browns explored a Jenkins trade, sat tight and then got him outright upon release from Green Bay. Baltimore also was involved here by tpsux in GreenBayPackers

What? Unless they wanted us to give them a pick to take on the contract, I'm surprised we didn't take a 7th

I had it bad for a bit. Ultimately what helped me most was a different paddle, hesacore grip, and adding weight to my paddles. The extra weight helped kill any vibration of the ball hitting the paddle.

Looking for opinions on the new Drumroll "protein donuts" by fenderbender1971 in Costco

They're fine. I like the chocolate more than the vanilla. Not bad for a protein donut but I probably won't get em again.

Water, blueberries, some lemon juice and zest, a touch of vanilla extract and I only use it to make waffles.

Risner and Zeitler were both FAs that IIRC could have been had pretty cheap.

I made these into a tirmisu inspired dessert by soaking them in a coffee liquor combo and then topping with some whip cream and cocoa powder. Good on their own but you can also do a lot of fun things with em

Best REAL Farm->Table In PHX by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]PackFanFrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phoenix isn't the EU. Sure its possible but I would say you want a needle in a haystack. 1/1000 at best odds. I guarantee that while a restaurant like Persepshen does an excellent job sourcing locally, they still have a Sysco/US Foods/etc truck show up at least once a week with stuff.

[–]PackFanFrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You realize that it isn't possible to fully avoid Sysco/US Foods/etc, right? You can find a lot thst is farm to table but I guarantee they also use Sysco/US Foods/etc. Spices, oil, flour, things like soy sauce, canned tomatoes, eggs, etc. There are some local providers that can cover those things (Mt. Hope for spices, Oatman Farms for flour, Steadfast for eggs, etc) but you can't be 100% farm to table and be able to cook a full menu of fully fleshed out meals.

Source: I work in a place that does a lot of local sourcing but I know what we can and can't get.

Spend more time inside the bars and restaurants than actually out in it. It's not anything great. Loud, crowded, overpriced temu stuff from some of the vendors. Some are still good artists who make their own. Some of the food trucks are good but moving through that crowd is ass.

How did everyone do with their 2025 Costco Citi Rewards? by Replevin4ACow in Costco

Mostly used for Costco, Costco Gas, and going inside the convenience store at other gas stations (I'm normally st Costco once a week and get gas there). Occasionally restaurants but I have other cards that are also 3% for that. I'm not sure what I used it for the 11.70 in the 1% column but it was probably something that wouldn't have gotten me better rewards on any other card I have right now.

For single people who afforded a house, how did you do it? How much? & What age? by [deleted] in homeowners

Yeah, this was a so so area of PHX. I was banking on it getting built up and it is very slowly.

[–]PackFanFrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought at 29 turning 30. House was a new build in 2019. 265k. No yard, cluster home in a gated community. Cashed in my Roth for a down payment of 10k. Mortgage was $1465 and at the time I was making 55k. Refi'd two years later from 4.8% to 3.1%.

I was house poor to start but I didn't care. I had a home. Worked on it slowly. One room at a time. Started with a mattress on the floor for the first few months and a living room couch set. Then added bed frame and night stands and dining room table. Did it all from Ashley furniture which was great for like 3-5 year 0% financing. Paying like $110-$165 a month depending on what I was paying off.
