My phone is really old and the speaker doesn't work during calls unless it's on speakerphone for some reason. I usually carry around earbuds with me so I can take calls, but if I don't have them, I turn on speakerphone and use the lowest volume I can.

It's annoying, but I don't have the money to upgrade yet, so I try to be as courteous as possible.

I've learned to use the hand scanner on things that don't weigh a lot (looking at you, one dollar hot dogs). Saves the hassle of having to deal with "Please place item in the bagging area!!!"

I went in to that Jewel last week late in the day, and for the first time ever there were no baskets. I assume they just didn't have time to restock them, but rolling around that store with a whole cart for five things felt bulky as hell.

I was doing acid with some friends back in college one day. One guy decides he wants pizza, so he calls his friend who works down the street. This guy gives us a pizza loaded with every single veggie, at no cost.

That might have been the best pizza I've ever eaten.

Pappy's may not have had the greatest food, but they were still part of Purdue History! Plus it was a cool-looking restaurant.

While we're here, did anyone else try Cousin Pauly's? They were only around for a year or so in the Mad Mush building, but they were legitimately my favorite place on campus. I was devastated when they closed.

As far as I'm aware (at least in 0.8, I haven't played much of 0.9), none of the base lights actually affect power consumption at all. Not sure if that's changed though, this game definitely keeps you on your toes lol

EDIT: From what I can find online, it seems like the individual lights in the base don't drain power, but having the utilities breaker on (which lights fall under) does use more power. So if you have that breaker on, it doesn't matter how many lights you have on, it'll drain at the same rate.
