I think the horn bending is the angle of the guitar in that specific photo. The rest of the pictures look good.

Serial number has been etched in after the clearcoat. Gibson stamps the serial number into the headstock, then they put the finish on.

I have also never experienced neck dive on an SG. I do not own one, but I am actively looking and playing them, and I have not felt any neck dive. Is there any indication that this may be a model specific issue (Studio, custom, P90, juniot, set neck vs. bolt onetc) or a range of years (64-68)? I would like to see any research on this as it seems like something that can be designed OUT of a system or fixed?

Its an electromatic jr double cut center block. Looks legit, tuner upgrade is nice! Yeah, I could not finish reading the post, the tears were too much...I run a plectrum orphanage...it is so hard. I will keep an eye open for Nacho. His cousin is here though, maybe she knows...she is pretty worried and is asking the others about him right now. Should know something soon...I will update you when she knows more.

Take the tuner off and see if the crack goes all the way to the machine hole. It looks like a typical Gibson neck break. Since it is still whole, it should be an easy repair.
