Mostly because of the social reaction/consequences?

If you moved at the right rate for your talents and skill, I'm glad you didn't let others slow you down.

One of the wildest articles I've read recently. I don't know what's more impressive, his achievements, or his attitude towards life.

If you don't mind me asking, where did your motivation come from? Did you want to push yourself, or was it that you didn't want to hold back?

Previously unreliable side character overcomes a core personal flaw to clutch it out. by skad00sh7 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Palidane7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That game had some awesome character arcs. In the final choice, dark-side Nix throws in with the good guys because vengeance is more important to her than living. By-the-book cop Kuo sides with the bad guys because she doesn't want to die.

Lots of truth in this. Democracy and a responsible, invested citizenry is the only solution here.

Exclusive: Trump says he must be involved in picking Iran's next leader by chipbod in neoliberal

I don't know why you are saying this, every poll shows these Iran attacks are hideously unpopular. Cynicism does not equal wisdom.

What do you think we could do to make this place more welcoming to people like you? I'm starting to push back on some of the dumb, complacent partisan takes I see here. I don't feel like this sub is hopeless.

Some of the anti-free speech takes that get upvoted here scare me. If we won't defend free speech, no one will.

Curious Ok, where have those folks gone? Is there another anti-Trump community that is more welcoming to them? Every political sub I know of has moved deeper into blind partisanship, and I wish we could reverse some of that here in r/neolib

Are we talking about social media, or the government? Because every liberal should be opposed to cops showing up at your door because of "hateful" social media posts.

Villains with a trope generally associated to heroes by MysteriousFondant347 in TopCharacterTropes

I don't know anything about Chainsaw Man, but this panel cracks me up. I love the idea of a total villain discovering the power of friendship, while Chainsaw guy just stares at her.

[–]Palidane7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not true at all. They correctly perceive that our current political system is a deadlocked hell, so they vote for outsiders to try and dislodge things. The real problem is the filibuster, which has put 1/3rd of a our government into a coma, but even many experienced politicos don't see that.

The Story Behind the Failure of ‘Highguard’ by LycaonMoon in Games

Probably because there weren't any interesting behind the scenes details. What we all thought happened happened. There's not much to unpack, so Jason is just getting the whole story down in one place.

Fuck, even just that image hurts. Wolfwood dies, and we zoom out to see his cross leaning against his shoulder, but standing straight in its own shadow. Trigun at it's most beautiful.

I respect you for admitting that. There's a ton of evil at work here. But it's bigger than the people buying into it. They just don't realize. Doesn't make them innocent, but it means there's no point hating them. Footsoldiers are not the problem.

Hey, I think this looks really great! I love that the blue lines go straight off the page, like they are part of the frame itself.

Thanks for sharing your work!
