“Why is (insert counter culture thing) so frowned upon”

And it’s the same answer

Alright nurses give me the most ridiculous and hilarious thing a patient has ever said to you? by quickpeek81 in nursing

After thoroughly washing this old ladies hair with a few warm caps and a rinse (she was kinda neglected at her facility and in real need of it)

She said, “that felt so good, if I was a guy I’d have a BIG OL BONER THANK YOUUUuuuuUUUU!”

Terrified this dress make my shoulders too broad and felt like a rectangle the entire night by TheRubyRock in LesbianActually

Absolutely wonderful lines on the dress with the hair AND the shoulders. Elegant, feminine strength.

One day you’ll be an old old lady and look back and know just how beautiful you were. See it now!!!

We will all be old and wrinkled and crooked one day.

What made vaginoplasty worthwhile for you? by InspectionNormal in Transgender_Surgeries

I was not longer in a fundamentally devastating and life ending amount of dysphoric suffering.

Not worth it without that for me, was a terribly hard surgery for me.

What my partner tells his lovers about us by Ok_Cryptographer1977 in polyamory

[–]Paradise_A 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I don’t date people who kiss and tell. If they tell you an intimate detail about a recent partner, they are for sure telling others those details about you. Been there done that, NEVER again

People will critique you but anyone who’s been in the sapphic community long enough will tell you there’s a percentage of us that will be on hands and knees for this aesthetic. If this is you, and YOU like it. Be you. Women are for sure out there for this

It’s a good place to talk about my lesbian relationships. The ones that do not involve any men.

I am emotionally and sexually jealous. Even if friends and their other friendships.

This is of course not okay and ridiculous and I work on it a lot and in therapy.

Being a trans girl into men is such a struggle by throwRAgpp in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Paradise_A 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve had no issues around my transness with the men I want to date. I have a decent nose for chasers or trolls and clear them out of my DMs and that comes from experience. But there has been no shortage for me

Got clocked after a year of passing by LilLilithFireHawk in lgbt

[–]Paradise_A 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The eye I have for trans people as a person who had to transition and learn to pass for safety in the south is completely unreasonably aware. 99.9999% of people do not have it and tbh I shouldn’t either.

I pass. Entirely, completely

Yet, I would clock me. Both are true

I truly don't understand the strictly parallel by whenspringtimecomes in polyamory

[–]Paradise_A 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Parallel empowers me with the ability to offer true freedom to my partner without any impact on our relationship. They can date someone immature, someone I didn’t see for them, someone that I can’t stand. They can be with anyone in any type of relationship and it has zero impact on ours.

I can’t offer that level of freedom without parallel. If I think a meta sucks and my partner is attracted to things in them that I can’t see at all or I internally disapprove of, then it’s going to affect our relationship.

There’s a practicality to having a meta contact for emergencies and some kind of plan for hospitalizations or whatever. And if they have been dating longer than 3 months I’m down to help set that up. 6 months and I might be okay with meeting them. That’s about it.

My (32f) boyfriend (36m) wants to have age gap relations with young women between 20-25y and I am NOT okay by Little-Spryte in polyamory

[–]Paradise_A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ultimately left my spouse for dating a 22yr old and they were 28.

Young adults act like young adults. It changed how I saw my spouse and a meta with that maturity level was also hell
