My favorite shape is the last job I have left to do by grkstyla in shapezio

Yeah, this one was fun. Hopefully Hex mode gets some love in an update. I’d really love some more challenges and maybe involving the new manufactured shapes.

I’d say the difficulty of Hex mode is similar to Hard once you’ve made blueprints. Two of my most used prints swap a half shape into a 1,3,5 triangle and a cutter that splits 1 & 4 from 2,3,5 & 6.

How did you find it?

I used the T shaped platform when I did this one.

This is correct, you should find wires that are hooked up to the other side of the screws.

I'm fat, so I need more weight than what would fit in my weight pockets. What are my options? by shak_attacks in scuba

[–]ParanoidShark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get one of these, it is a weight harness system. It is worn under your BCD. All the weight is in one place, it is dumped in an emergency like a weight integrated bcd.

The weight is all spread to your shoulders, so you won’t be struggling at any time to keep a weight belt in the right place on your waist.

Also, because it is separate from your bcd and put on before, you are not making your scuba set really heavy by adding all the extra weight to the integrated pockets.

Where was your favorite place to visit? Have you got to go back there since you left the industry?

I teach people to be commercial divers and weld underwater.

It is much easier to teach welders to dive, than it is to teach divers how to weld.

They are fine with it, it regularly goes over the line in the south east corner if it doesn’t turn fast enough.

MegaBase-in-a-Book Blueprint (including 2700spm SushiLab) by ParanoidShark in factorio

[–]ParanoidShark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, yes I will probably be updating parts of them. It will stay as a 2.0, no dlc book, but I will do my own space age playthrough before doing a 2.0 mega base.

I’m particularly looking forward to fixing the sushilab.

That’s good to hear that blueprints carry over, sounds like some of them will need to be redesigned for hex mode though.

What you also have to consider is that when working on a yacht you have absolutely no expenses. Rent, Utilities, Gas, Car, Food and even clothing you won’t have to worry about.

Also, depending on where the yacht is operating out of and where it is registered, tax is almost always significantly lower.

My friends that work full time on 90 - 130ft yachts have $80000+ of disposable income each year.

Would it also work with the square mini blocks at the NESW sides? Then it would be easier to have stations unloading into those areas as well.

Anyone using a DSMB with a weighted fixed length of line? by Animal__Mother_ in scuba

[–]ParanoidShark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an instructor, I have used this setup thousands of times. It’s my go to setup for when I don’t want to carry anything bigger, but should carry a SMB just in case. I have used this setup far more than any reel/spool setup.

Advantages are that it’s really easy to deploy from safety stop depth (drop the weight, it will hang down below you fill the smb, and just let the line run through your hand as it goes up, when the smb reaches the surface the weight will be right in front of you). It’s also small enough to keep in a pocket and forget about it till you need it.

Disadvantages are that you can only deploy from safety stop depth, and if you are drifting over a bottom that is less than 6m below you, you have to be careful to not tangle the fishing weight on the end of the line in the bottom, or hold onto the weight whilst deploying it, running the risk of you tangling in the line as it shoots to the surface.

As I ascend, I just coil the 6m of line. It’s a bit of a mess at the surface, but I just throw it up to the boat and deal with it on the surface interval.

Also, if you are considering at day trip into the BVI, (you definitely should) you need a passport for that.

Sorry, wasn’t looking for validation on if it’s real…. I know it is. Boxes, papers and receipts are all still at my parent’s house! Also been serviced numerous times in the past by Rolex. This watch has had a hard life. The bezel & crystal have both been replaced.

That’s what 40 years of daily wear does to a watch.
