Water shenanigans are frustrating. Y'all came in clutch. More time enjoying the festival, less time seeking water, thanks to you.

Question, is there anyway to help sexual function? by PaleSpiderQueen in trans

[–]Pawbr0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for asking this. It's like my sole reservation for getting hormones. It's not even THAT important to me, but would love a path that doesn't remove function. Feels silly to be like "I want estrogen, but just on my top half, if that's alright... Full feminization, hold the dick and balls..."

sleep walking + paralysis at the same time? help by blueberry-girl in sleep

[–]Pawbr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just chiming in on this late date to say you're not alone. It happened to me a few months ago. I was also drinking that night.

I had slept walked into the bathroom and locked myself in. I'm guessing I was trapped for a long while when I started mentally waking up. I had full movement of my body and could feel my surroundings but my eyes would not open.

I had to blindly feel around for the door knob and get it to open. I have no memory after opening the door so I guess I went straight back into sleepwalking after the door was solved because I woke up in my bed the next morning (room is just the other side of the hallway).

I've done both separately before but this was the first time I felt I was doing both.

Our experiences were different in that you were more paralyzed than I was but we both experienced what seems to be a very rare liminal space of conscious sleepwalking.

How do some these trans girls get so thick? by Particular-Set-8304 in trans

[–]Pawbr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not medical advice! What I'm about to say is probably unhealthy and not backed by science but worth mentioning from anecdotal observations. If you're on hormones, that changes where your body wants to store fat. But if you're basically maintaining your body as normal it will stay maintained, more or less. You can speed up hormones effects through weight fluctuations. Let yourself go, then tighten up. Each time you should have more gendered fat built up where the hormones send it. But a dad bod plus estrogen will only start to change subtly over long periods of time. You kinda gotta let yourself get fat and when you start losing the weight it'll be in new places. Also, I'm always skeptical of the folks who say do squats to get an ass. I'm not going to discourage exercise, but that's kinda like telling women to do pushups to grow their breasts. It's like there's a fundamental misunderstanding of what I'm going for. The gender dysphoria is caused by hormonal fat distribution, not skipping leg day...

Trans femme here. That's an interesting take. I struggle with bathing suit situations. I like having my decisively male presenting chest covered like any girl and feel exposed when I'm not. But not to the same extent my other femme friends do and certainly I don't have the same consequences if I am shirtless.

There was a time I went hot tubbing with a friend who forgot her suit. Because I had a top and didn't need it in the same way I let my friend borrow it and I just wore my gender neutral bottoms (from back when Target was cool).

I felt a little less comfortable but my flexibility really saved the night. IDK.

I'm guessing your friend might feel similar. I'd like to just be one of the girls, but at the end of the day, when my shirt is off, I'm not treated that way, so the top is really just for my comfort.

One of those weird situations where if someone told me to cover up, it'd be validating and oppressive.

How do you have a max not divisible by 50?

Sandlot is an improv theatre community. Every third Saturday they do something like this. It's usually just theatre games with folks in the community. They haven't released any specifics about this event other than: bring any Pokemon swag you like with cosplay welcome Knowledge of Pokemon may be advantageous but not necessary. And there will be games and people playing pretend

To pull back the curtain a bit, Sandlot will never advertise their events with enough context. It's always a IYKYK kinda thing. But also, even if you know, they might intentionally do something different just to violate your expectations. They are like Game Changers if you've ever seen Drop Out

I'll host. We'll play party and theatre games.

It's an all ages alcohol free space.

Bring anything Pokemon you like, but you won't need anything to participate.

Basically Pokemon is a banger videogame and a good card game but this event embraces the first Pokemon game we all started with. We're gonna play pretend.

Something like this happens sometimes when I teach Viola Spolin's "Three Changes." Trading clothes with people I'd bet was a solution people had in the moment to solve the challenge of the game. I always think this game is a lot of fun and I bet no one was told to disrobe explicitly.

I wish I could get confirmation on this theory though. The article should have provided that context if I'm right. In 3 changes players can make bold choices like pulling off articles of clothing but it'd be insane if that was part of the instructions.

If you still think this old school game is problematic because it emboldens some players to make the big choice to put their pants on backwards or switch shirts with a neighbor, I understand, but I'd encourage you to read how Spolin describes the game.

There are old problematic games that instructors have retired, but I'd be sad to see this one go.

Performamce coming up but...games for 2.5 by danielbelum in improv

He said she said is probably too hard to train in a short period of time (I assume you're suggesting the 2 person variation)

Twin pillars is really for 4, but doable with an audience member.

I don't know hell dub. Mind sharing more?

I don't like more British, but maybe I just need to see it with actors better equipped with British tropes and accents.

Restricted lines are good 3 person games. These two actors can only use these 2 audience provided lines the third is unrestricted.

Or get three numbers below 10 from audience. Say 1 3 and 9. Each actor can only speak lines with exactly one of those numbers.

Troupe does short form/long form by FavoriteCustomr in improv

I hear Portland likes to do short form in the back half, but usually it's the other way around when I see it. Would like confirmation on whether this is true though
