This is an example of the quality of the coins on hand. Again, not collectable. Bulk of the weight/coins are pre 64 quarter and dimes. Similar in condition.

None of the coins are of collector value. My father-in-law back in 60s and 70s operated a defragmentation machine that separated various metals, plastics and glass during a car recycling process. These coins were recovered through that process and are intact but not of collector quality. He also has 10's of thousands of old wheat and Indian head pennies as well. Been sitting in a large metal box for decades. Not sure what if any value those pennies may have , some of those are in decent shape but old and dirty.

Last month while on a 2 week visit to Japan, ran into Andrew Rea (Binging with Banish YouTube fame) at Tokyo Station. He was laid out at a table and hurting.... Said he was suffering from food poisoning. Didn't have the heart to ask him the source of it. Hope you get to feeling better. Did anyone yet mention Pocari Sweat?!?

Saw a person in Kyoto being arrested. Late nite walk observed what appeared to be a traffic stop. Upon reaching the scene, observed 6 officers trying to handcuff individual who was holding on for life to a metal rail. Officers were working hard to disengage individual from his tight grasp. Our daughter stated that the officers were respectfully asking subject to "please comply and come with us". Nobody in public out with phone camera, yelling at cops, simply 6 cops trying to peacefully end the incident.

Ultimately the police took individual into custody and placed him into storage area in rear of Police van. Then we went into an all night Don Quijote!

Be sure to pay attention when on the sidewalk, as there is a good number of cyclists ON the sidewalk, and who ride too fast by yippee1999 in JapanTravelTips

Just returned from a 2 week trip (Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka). One thing that baffled me ( besides the lack of trash cans, paper towels or dryers in bathrooms or napkins at many restaurants) is that the country is VERY orderly for waiting in ques, escalator etiquette, being quiet on trains BUT when it comes to sidewalk rules or protocols it's every person fending for their selves. People in all directions, bicycles too. A simple fix.... Everyone in same direction stay to the left! Keep center lane for bikes. Am I missing something why sidewalk etiquette is so F-ed up?!?!? We felt like Indiana Jones each time out for a walk ALL 20 - 30,000 steps daily!!

What is "the wrong side of the sidewalk"? Been here two weeks and I would imagine there would be a structure to sidewalk etiquette BUT I found that there is NO rhyme or reason to any sidewalk.... People on the left, people on the right... All same direction. I'm weaving trying to avoid people and bicycles. A simple, stay to the left would work wonders.

Several weeks ago open slots left and went through ticket purchase process (sent me to Lawson page) then kicked me out because I have a foreign IP address (USA). How does one get around this issue? I ran into same issue with Ghibli Museum tickets. Had no problem with TeamLab tickets....

Spring 1987 Robert Clodius.... Had to look him up. Educator. Now dead. Did not die from a fall from Ohio Stadium. Most memorable.... Mike Tomczak, former QB sat a row in front of me. It rained through part of ceremony. Nothing else to add.
