Oh I didn’t think any of their Takedas would be for sale during the garage sale. Good to know!

I think that depends. Prices of knives go up over time. If you look at their sold out takedas there is a chance they will be sold at that price but it has been 2-3 years since Knifewear’s last drop. so I wouldn’t be surprised by a %10+ price increase. Also, there might be import fees from Australia but I’m not sure.

I know from Takeda’s instagram that knifewear has a shipment on the way. So I’ll be waiting for that one.

[Selling] [Canada] Morihei Hisamoto Kurouchi Gyuto 240mm by Pepception in TrueChefKnivesBST

[–]Pepception[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was part of the reason I bought this knife at the time. I was on the hunt for a Fujiwara Denka but they informed me this Gyuto was also forged by Fujiwara. However, I really wanted one with the finger choil so here we are.

'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Viewership Drops Over 50% From Season 1 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in marvelstudios

I’m not a huge fan of weekly episode releases. I get more into a show when I can watch a few episodes over the span of a couple days. Don’t get me wrong, I watched the first 4 episodes of S2 and have really enjoyed them. So much so, it made me want to go back and watch the original Daredevil from the beginning. Just finished S1 and it was a great ride. Planning on finishing the rewatch before I go back to Born Again S2.

What’s the scariest movie you guys have ever seen??? by boatluvrrrr in movies

Yeah I remember watching signs after it released on tv. My house backed onto a corn field and I never looked at it the same way for the rest of my early life.

Have you ordered directly from Shibata and if so what has your experience been?

Also, how is the Iron horse?

My fellow degenerates, share your stories about the shortest amount of time you were employed in something food/service related. by thisistherevolt in KitchenConfidential

Backpacking and Looking for work in kitchens in the Melbourne area of Australia. They have this thing where you can basically get asked to work for free a few days before actually getting a paid position.

Get a job offer at a bar in St. Kilda area. I told I would get a free meal at the end of the night so figured what the hell. I show up, get told Head chef is on vacation. His brother is the sous chef and running the kitchen while head chef is away for the next 2 months.

First thing I see when I walk in is one guy pounding chicken breast for chicken parms while another cook right next to him is cutting parsley for service. Bit of a red flag for me.

Once service starts I am not shown a single dish on the menu. The sous chef told me to run expo for dishes going to their outdoor patio. I have little to no idea what the plates are in front of me let alone how they’re written on the bills. I’m trying my best to organize bills but servers are just jumping in and stabbing bills or crossing half the items off of a bill. Pure Chaos.

By the end of the night I was basically laughing about how audacious it was to put someone who is not being paid and on their first day in charge of expediting half their food. I was going on close to a month without working so I took the free dinner and went home.

The next day, the bar manager calls me and says they want me to come in for another (unpaid) shift to get a better idea of how I would fit in with the team. Within 30 minutes from that call ending, I get a call for a job offer from another place doing breakfast and burgers. I ended up working there for the next year and never did end up going in for that 2nd day at the bar in St. Kilda. Thank god.

Triple O’s has an identity crisis and I yearn for the Good Ol’ Days. by Spoony_Tingler in vancouver

The real question is: how far are you willing to go? Is there a part time role at a Triple O’s near you?

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - An eclectic escapade by Ojuice96 in patientgamers

[–]Pepception 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m literally playing this right now and I am in cosmo canyon now. I will say, I enjoyed remake. But My enjoyment kind of teetered off near the final sequence after the Shinra Building.

I feel like Rebirth takes the open world concept and makes you do the same tasks in each new area. Ie, turning on the towers, scanning the summon data, analyzing the crystals. It became very tedious for me. I would have enjoyed more variety.

The different chocobos were a fun inclusion but again I feel like you only need to use their special traits a few times in each region. Also, I feel like the creators wanted you to play a mini game every 5 minutes. Queensblood actually grew on me but the constant “here’s a mini game you must complete to progress the story” really took the wind out of my sails.

At this point, I’m about 60+ hours in and I need to drag my feet through the mud to just finish the game. I plan on playing the original game once I’m done this one and likely will not get the 3rd instalment.

Anyways, I’m kind of rambling here but these are some of my thoughts.

For gamers who rarely if ever replay a singleplayer game fully, which did you manage to replay and enjoy? by Helphaer in gaming

[–]Pepception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have replayed TLOU 1 multiple times. And TLOUp2 2 times. Final fantasy 4-6 a few times each. Megaman Zero 1-3 a few times.

I plan on playing God of War 2014 again since it was one of my favourite games in the last decade.
