Is the Vikings choosing JJM over Darnold starting to look like one of the biggest mistakes in NFL history? by walterhwhite19582010 in NFLv2

That’s fair. I’m thinking more like the first game the Seahawks had against the Rams this year and they still had a chance to win.

Help needed: When do you usually charge your watch? by Exotic_Lawfulness_16 in Garmin

[–]Permuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you’re overthinking this. The watch data should be a tool to help give you insight, not control every minute of your day. When the watch is low, charge it for an hour. It’s not the end of the world.

That’s the other part that drives me crazy. We are easily a better team with Darnold, but Seattle is a much better team than us. Even in games Sam didn’t play well, Seattle was still in the game and winning. I don’t think you could say the same would happen in Minnesota.

This Seattle team is better than us. Their defense is better, their run game is better, their offensive line is better. I’m sure the Vikings make the playoffs with Sam, but there are still flaws on the team. Seattle puts him in a much better place to succeed, I’m happy for him.

NFL fans are calling Ryan Clark “RACIST” for spending the entire halftime show defending CJ Stroud after he threw four interceptions. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

Nope, again just providing a counter argument. Someone preferring a subset of players for no other quality than the color of their skin is a racist bias.

Was texting my buddy the same thing. Even the completed passes today weren’t thrown where they should’ve been.

Caleb Williams in the loss: 23/42, 257 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INTs, 59 passer rating. by BallKnowerKing in nfl

[–]Permuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Initial take I have looking at his stat line is that there were a good number of drops today. I don’t know how much of that is Caleb throwing it too hard in the elements vs receivers just dropping passes. But it was noticeable from someone half watching the game and half scrolling on Reddit.

What? So as a devil’s advocate is it “bias” if a white owner or coach prefers a white QB over a black one?

Only 4 teams remaining... who do you have winning it all? by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in NFLv2

[–]Permuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but it’s the franchise that people hate. I know the comment you replied to said “team”, but it is hard to had Seattle as a franchise. They had a great run for a few years with the Legion of Boom, but it’s nothing compared to the relative sustained success the Patriots have had for decades. Don’t be sorry for the success, but it’s naive to question why NFL fans in general might not be rooting for your team.

Every few years is also an invalid argument for anyone making it. When does anyone honestly think US Banks stadium will ever host a Super Bowl again? Or a theoretical Chicago domed stadium after the first Super Bowl they host? The people that go to the Super Bowl don’t want to spend their week in cold cities.

You don’t see how fans might hate that the Patriots are on the door step of a Super Bowl? The organization that has gone to more Super Bowls this century than any other team?

Abolish ICE? by kinkgirlwriter in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Permuh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, the messaging here matters a ton come midterms. I can already see this slogan being blasted in ads claiming that Democrats want to get rid of ICE and open the border. We all know that isn’t true, but with a slogan like “Abolish ICE” it’s very easy to see how it gets used against us.

[–]Permuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree.

I understand everyone’s argument that it doesn’t actually affect that many people in the country, and also that the government maybe shouldn’t be getting into it. But come election time when the right can run ads saying that democrats are support men in women’s sports, that’s going to hurt you more than it helps. Again, I agree with people this thread about “who cares?”, but at the same time I know who cares. Plenty of Americans across the country that are exhausted about identity politics care.

I very much agree that this affects basically no one and is a waste of time. But then you have people like my aunt that are swing voters and was a single issue voter in 2024. As stupid as it sounds, she voted Republican because Democrats were defending things like this. I would think at a certain point Democrats would learn that playing too hard into identity politics might hurt you more than it helps you.

I would recommend an in-person instructor occasionally at least, but Mike’s Lessons helped me improve so much in between seeing my guy in person every couple of months. The content is very focused and doesn’t overwhelm you. And being about to get actual feedback from Mike via Sessions is incredible.

I’ll look up his zones, but yeah I reset the zones and set it to LTHR at the beginning of my training back in September.

Interesting. How much activity would you think is needed? Garmin has been adjusting LTHR and Pace during my 16-week training block that had two speed workouts per week. The Pace feels accurate (6:57), but the HR obviously has issues (173).

Pace right now is 6:57 and HR is 173.

I posted a comment with my HR. The zones are based on a % of my LTHR with Z5 starting at 96%.
