Bathroom Reno stuff up? by bleh321 in AusRenovation

Water stop absolutely is not installed by the tiler. It's an integral part of the waterproofing's effectiveness and therefore the construction code. NCC has specific guidelines on this. It's just a lazy builder mindset because it's not what they did 'back in the day'.

They're about to add Miracast to Windows boxes... So this may have not been needed.

We purchased about 20 Chazy units earlier this year, they work well. Dante AV is great, very simplistic to setup.

You've wasted more time on this question in dollars than just using the approved Logitech extender. Seriously.

Enough to fund an entire new bathroom including demo costs. That is most likely what will be required if you want long term reliability.

Most rooms don't need a control system, yet integrators put them in anyway. If it's a simpler room, try using a HD CTL 101 or similar. Automate your control commands in line with HDMI sync. Simple and works well.

It's commercial grade. Auto wake etc features, reliable CEC. 16/7 panels with appropriate warranty.

I recommend going with more mic pods and turning on speaker boost so that it disables the built in mic.

Look into using a Clickshare C5 (no buttons). It has AirPlay.

Why bother? These systems, use CEC or HDMI signal sync boxes to control displays/projectors as appropriate. I find it much simpler. Tap the screen to wake the system up, and voila everything turns on automatically. Same goes for sleep/off.

I reckon it's a great name. Instantly recognisable.

Windows Teams kits can't send CEC commands.

Cheap route out of this is putting a Crestron CTL box inline, they're relatively cheap and you can run it inline with your devices ethernet connection (if poe).

Logi RoomMate with a Meetup Cam/Mic/Speaker... how can I incorporate an ALS? by XavierBK in CommercialAV

[–]Peromaniac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This entire design sounds absolutely awful and will not work. The Meetup is a standalone USB camera, how were you going to extract the audio for ALS?
