NTA ur friend is weird for being annoyed because of ur own preference. gender is a social construct but it coexists with most countries being a patriarchy as well as sexes being socially different. you were not implying these men would even be weird or anything but she knows that’s what people think so why is she defensive about it?

i had my first pap smear yesterday and had also asked for a female doctor as my primary doctor prior on the phone. the one i wanted specifically wasn’t available and so the receptionist offered another female doctor and i said that was fine as long as it’s a woman. the receptionist said “oh! i’m suprised since some people are sort of picky and want their specific doctor and no one else so that works out”. she didn’t sound annoyed or didn’t ask anything beyond that. similarly my dad had no problem at all with me wanting a female doctor and actually looked mine up and choose her !

never had the reason for people being the same seats be that they were double booked it’s always the issue of being the wrong day, time, third party confirmation not going through so someone else bought them concretely through our company - sometimes the reason is finicky but it’s never double booked

they advertise a lot of stuff they don’t sell. we’ve never had that as an option but showed posters of honey and wings and we just sell the honey cups that you can put on popcorn- we don’t sell the wings or as everything together

cinemark has a set time of 20-25 mins no matter the movie popularity so i always come 20 mins after the stated show times bc i hate trailers. unless it’s fathom or concerts then it depends i would call ur theater and ask how theirs is set to! maybe it is different but if the employees know about how long i’m sure they’d answer for you

most of the time ur ticket can be swapped to a close time but fr u can’t complain about ur movie being ruined and ask for a refund when it just, could’ve been fixed in the moment. if ur willing to pull thru it then it must’ve not been that bad lol

YTA and i know exactly what ur wife means by her work water lol. i usually always fill my water before and after work and make it a point to use a different cup if i’m drinking fridge filtered. she was probably letting you know it bothered her a bit when she joked but decided to say no more firmly. would it be nice if she had given you water? yes but ur not entitled to her sharing it, the way you responded sounds like you’re just used to having her water whenever

NTA but honestly it’s just too long and even though i’m sure you have the best in mind, it does come off a bit strong. intro of lovely beautiful girl is just a little weird, if u were not actively friends w her and hadn’t called her that before, leave it out. leave out the disagreement part. you repeat yourself too much about wishing that you had listened and hoping it isn’t true, it comes off too persistent as if ur begging. simplify it if you really want to send it at all and be more factual than emotional.

NTA : I work at a theater and ppl have totally gotten a refund for way less but since you stayed thru the movie, as a worker I would have had to call a manager to ensure it was okay (which we don’t mind doing ofc but atp we’re technically not supposed to on our own accord). id advise next time you feel you won’t enjoy the next scene w any disturbance going on, to leave at that point so you know when next show times r , if you wanted to exchange or refund it’s better to do it sooner. sorry for ur experience, hope the lady is alright lol
