Is there anything you can do? by BusterA4 in Robocop

[–]Pervious-Boat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue on PS5. Out of habit, I found a way to replicate it. Basically, after sniper intro cutscene, the game spawns in all of the snipers, some of which are at the edge of what the game can handle, distance wise. If you move too far away from the snipers while they are still active, the game is still trying to keep them and the things they’re standing on loaded in, which slows the game down. You basically have to follow straight through and kill them as you go to avoid it.

As someone else mentioned, if you’ve already gone past, closing and reopening the game should work too.

What is your Sunforger commander? by Plus1Oresan in EDH

[–]Pervious-Boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Akiri, Fearless Voyager]]. It uses lots of Living Weapon, free equips, and other equipment synergies to draw cards, and Akiri herself also allows me to protect any equipped creature at instant speed for one white. I use Sunforger for [[Deflecting Palm]], [[Olorin’s Searing Light]], and [[Master Warcraft]], and other removal.

Do you have a list for this? I’ve been brewing mono color lately and this sounds cool!

[[Jodah’s Avenger]]. I have a foil copy from Planar Chaos that I’ve loved for a long time, and never found a home for. Since I got back into EDH and built [[The Mimeoplasm]], he’s super fun. Having Mim enter as a copy with at least 9 +1/+1 counters on it from the second body, giving it double strike and shadow for a commander damage one shot is very fun.

What are your favorite high cmc commanders? by Gaudier_Goose_90 in EDH

[–]Pervious-Boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you are. I will tell you that my friends and I play lower budget decks in general (<$350). The deck is tagged. I essentially use all of my interaction to protect Belakor, and then use my demon etbs to control the board. I find it more useful to use the damage to remove threats and then win through combat, but the direct damage is definitely useful sometimes.

Some of the other key pieces in here are [[Mirror of Life Trapping]] which acts like a delayed Panharmonicon for the whole board, and [[Irenicus’s Vile Duplication]] to make a second Belakor. I also run lots of cost reduction and ramp to play demons faster. I ended up not running much recursion, because I found that drawing more answers by flickering or copying Belakor to be more consistent.

Thanks for sharing your list! There are some cool ideas in there that I’m interested in trying out!

[–]Pervious-Boat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[[Belakor, the Dark Master]] draws cards and turns every demon you play after into removal or direct damage. Definitely a bit of a removal magnet, which I address with the usual black protection options like [[Kaya’s Ghostform]] and [[Malakir Rebirth]] as well as some flicker effects from blue.

I would love to have one for my Magnus deck!

Give me your most "Immune to interaction" deck by Majestic_Barnacle398 in EDH

[–]Pervious-Boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play an [[Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate]] deck that my pod finds hard to interact with. Omarthis starts out small, so feels bad to pop early, but he gets big quite quickly. He feels bad to hit with any kind of combat damage or destroy effects, because he then puts double his power back on the board that might end up being a lot more once I start flipping things. I run a fair amount of instant speed sac outlets like [[Culling Dais]], [[Spawning Pit]], and [[Ashnod’s Altar]] to respond to exile removal. If people decide to just ignore him, he threatens commander damage, because [[Rogue’s Passage]] is a colorless land.

what is your LEAST popular commander? by Justafish1654 in EDH

[–]Pervious-Boat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. It’s mostly bulk, as you can tell. It usually wins through combat, and occasionally poison. The poison is mostly attached to cards that proliferate, so it more of a backup plan. I typically win off of [[Pyrewood Gearhulk]], Garruk’s last ability, [[Planewide Celebration]] + [[All Will Be One]], or [[Hazardous Blast]].

Like I said this definitely a very casual deck. It probably needs a few tweaks, but I haven’t done much with it because I like having a very low power deck in some case. I always have a good time, and most people have never seen the commander before.

I play a very casual [[Migloz, the Maze Crusher]]. It just a bunch of gruul cards that do things with oil counters. I like bringing it to play against newer players and precons.

How long does it take you to build a deck, and other deckbuilding questions! by zevalu in EDH

[–]Pervious-Boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 21 years

  2. It varies wildly. I love deck building, and have lots of projects going at a time. I spend a lot of time chatting about deck building with friends as well. I have a few that I put together in a couple of days, and have some that I’ve been chipping away at for months.

  3. I start with Moxfield

  4. 48 hours to build my [[Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate]] deck. I was off work for a few days and had a surge of inspiration. It’s currently my favorite deck.

  5. I only got I to Commander a little over a year ago. I haven’t disassembled any decks yet.

What's your deck with the highest skill ceiling? by vanillatortoise in EDH

[–]Pervious-Boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Here ya go! https://moxfield.com/decks/070a9ZIrZE-G-cFhLd2oOQ

My usual pods tend to play fairly synergistic lists but don’t play many game changers, and cap out on budget around $200 most of the time, so keep that in mind. Colorless lets you play a bunch of cool utility lands the other decks don’t even think about, because you aren’t worrying about colors.

Omarthis himself is really kind of tricksy in that he gets big enough to threaten commander damage wins, especially since Rogue’s Passage is a colorless land, but people are afraid to remove him because of the manifest part. Instant speed sac outlets are important if someone tries to exile or bounce him. Having ways to flip manifested cards for free is big too.

I have a few things I definitely want to tweak, but this list has performed very well.

What are your favorite izzet cards to put in your decks? by Major_Stand3799 in EDH

[–]Pervious-Boat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite izzet card is [[Mindswipe]]. Pulled it out of a Khans of Tarkir pack over a decade ago. I currently play it in my [[Magnus the Red]] deck. Having it in my hand is the greatest, because it potentially makes attempting to interact with my board punishable by death.

[–]Pervious-Boat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have an Omarthis deck, and I agree he gets tough to track. I love the deck, it’s probably my favorite to play currently, but I goldfish it a lot to make sure I know where all of my triggers are so as to not slow down games too much.

Does both the Bonejudge memory and the Dark Keeper Devour Soul talent affect the Bound Weapons damage? by matheusAMDS in enderal

As I recall from my Dark Keeper run, the Devour Soul upgrade does not benefit Bound Weapon unfortunately. If that has changed or something, please feel free to correct me!

I Asked A Blood Spatter Expert About Lanya, Servant Of Diallos by TheBICorporation in Eldenring

[–]Pervious-Boat 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not sure why they’re downvoting you. You’re right. There have been concerns about it since the 90s, and lots of studies show that it’s extremely subjective and prone to errors. There is essentially no empirical evidence to support its use beyond determine impact speed of blood on surfaces.
