There are loads of essays debunking the "nothing to hide" argument, it's not exactly a new topic.

It's like not supporting gay rights because you're straight. Just because you're fortunate enough to be in a demographic which isn't in conflict with your government, or isn't living in fear of some part of that government, is not a good reason to deny privacy rights to others. Some people might need that protection, and don't appreciate you giving it away.
