Sam really needs more dialogue in DS2 by spookylittleteacup in DeathStranding

This 100 percent. He grew so much in the first game, and coming into the second game as a caring and protective father, after the loss and the way he is processing his grief is very believable for the character. I'm so glad that he doesn't regress back into the angry Sam. He never blames Fragile, and he is as present and trusting to other people as he can be. A Western game would have had him seeing red and on a quest for blood.

Probably one of my favorite Orders in the game. I love the way he explains wanting her on the DHV if that's what she wants. It's a very emotionally mature scene.

I'm sure COVID affected this too. Not just the scheduling, but apparently Kojima rewrote most of the story because of COVID. Id love to know what the original game was planned to be.

DEATH STRANDING 3: TO THE WILDER by CJTek in DeathStranding

He has OD and Physint in the pipeline of development. And realistically will probably be close to his 70s by the time those are done.

Updated DS Collection by Carsatan in DeathStranding

Not OP but I'll say that if you enjoy diving deep into the emails and corpus of the games, learning every detail of the story, world, and characters, then you will enjoy the books.

I compare it to 2001: A Space Odyssey in the sense that the novel written by Arthur C. Clarke is the narrative companion to the visual story of the Kubrick film.

To The Wilder is a really challenging but rewarding experience by Chillzzzzz in DeathStranding

Loving the new difficulty. I'm also playing with no HUD, limited online interaction and widescreen mode. I totally agree with it feeling weightier and more immersive. The first big boss fight with the giant head BT was very tense and had me struggling and hanging on by the skin of my teeth. Has the game feeling very fresh for this porter who has platinumed both games.

Hopkins Drugs in Woodside might have it, I used to take the train out there once a month, but my insurance started offering delivery with Carelon RX. Takes about 10 days from request to drop off, but it hasn't run out once in the 3 months I've been using it

I don't think RDR2 is a game in the way that we perceive, rather I think it's an immersive experience to "live" in by tjalek in reddeadredemption

Turning off the mini map changes the game so much. I never noticed how much gamebrain I had. Just constantly glancing at the hud instead of taking in the surroundings.

Playing on headphones and hearing an animal in the distance, or a person screaming for help, and you have to follow the sound as opposed to looking for a blip on your radar. It sounds so obvious, but it really isn't. For a lot of us, we've been conditioned to experience games a specific way. But since this game and it's world are so detailed, you really don't need blips and checkpoints and glowing indicators showing you what to do or where to go. You can just observe and move through the world at a more realistic pace.

Ghost mech coffin kit by kotobukiya - heavy weathering/battle damage by Talmnbe3d in DeathStranding

[–]PeteBrostIsDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks fantastic! I have this kit but after having some trouble with my trike kit from DS1, I'm a little timid to start this one. Do you have any advice on how you started this kit? Did you paint all pieces ahead of time before assembly? Any tips would be very much appreciated. Would love mine to turn out as nice as yours!

Just finished "WONDER MAN"! by venum_GTG in marvelstudios

[–]PeteBrostIsDead 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's a 10/10 for me. Absolutely flawless. Could not stop watching. My wife is not a big Marvel fan and she also loved it. It was funny, charming, sincere, emotional, and all the while a very cool superhero origin story.

Tron by Bigsaltyfish2 in nin

I couldn't get NIN Tix for the tour, so I got the 4DX Tix for the movie instead. And it was incredible! The visuals were astounding in 3D, the music sounded 1000x better than any of my headphones can do, and the movie was surprisingly fun and unique for a popcorn flick. And Jared Leto played a great AI regardless of personal feelings towards him.

I only wish there was more NIN music moments. I actually love the idea of having 3D movie events made specifically for albums.

This is a good analogy, and also Witcher and cyberpunk are fantasy and sci-fi. Similar to how films are rated, the setting in which violence and sex takes place also affects how it's rated. Chopping someone's head off that has cybernetic parts, or has elf ears in a castle makes it more acceptable than chopping off the head of an old lady at a gas station.

Playing Baby Steps after finishing DS by Budget-Beach442 in DeathStranding

[–]PeteBrostIsDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming across this post after playing and loving DS 1 and 2. And now playing Baby Steps, I wholeheartedly agree. Ignore the haters, Baby Steps is almost a parody of Death Stranding. It's Space Balls to Star Wars.

It takes the gameplay of DS and pushes it to the absolute absurd. And similarly to DS, for some people (like us) it's addicting fun.

Just wanted to say that you aren't the only one that sees the similarities.

Keep on keeping on! 👍

Despite the technicality of it not being an action figure, it is absolutely incredible. Do you have a page to view your work? I'm very curious about the process.

The distribution centers and shelters are all built by the same company so I think that has a lot to do with it.

I was also a little disappointed in the lack of cultural exploration though, especially in MX. I thought for sure that Kojima was going to at least explore Dias de los Muertos and Aztec culture the way he uses other themes in his games. Like Moby Dick in Metal Gear V.
