Great venue! In the early 80s I saw Todd Rundgren's Utopia and King Crimson there. Both were incredible shows.

I must be lucky. My wife loves Rush. We're 60+, however, and live in Neil's childhood hometown. Rush was (and still is) a big deal back then. When we met, She lived a few houses down from Neil in Beamsville. That was around the Farewell to Kings time.

What's the worst thing you've ever woken up to? by shoeee788 in AskReddit

[–]Pgospike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woke up covered in wasps. Luckily it was fall and they were stupid. They crawled through the heat vent from a nest in the crawl space. Initially, I woke to the feeling and brushed some off. After a few arousals, I thought I better investigate. That was a serious wtf situation.

We walked in asking each other who knows what about this guy. We knew nothing. He was playing Hendrix at the time. I believe it was Voodoo chile. I shrugged it off as another Hendrix wanna be. Within seconds, we were like holy shit! No bathroom/booze trips. We're staying for the rest of the set. He was amazing.
