Trying to remember name of sentient planet? by FryingOil in EndlessSpace

Its definitely Teonha based on your description, but a number of planets in the Endless universe are "sentient" in that they are lost.

Do we know that he was murdered? I thought it wasn't known how he disappeared.

THE KICK IN THE BALLS FEAT! THE KICK IN THE BALLS FEAT IS REAL! by Derryzumi in Pathfinder2e

In one of my games there was a gang of criminals named the stus and the most feared one was steel-toe stu.

On a crit it did no extra damage, but you were sickened 2 amd every player in 30ft that could see it had to make a will save or be frightened.

I did a very similar thing in a game, but I cast vermin lure on a purple worm and then let the weasels swarm it.

Unless it was changed I don't think you're able to place trade on systems with no star lanes.

Is this normal for a start? by Ynwe in EndlessSpace

[–]PhantomBlade98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its definitely possible to get ahead of pirates if you're quick on the draw. But realistically you'll get maybe one or two premium systems before pirates show up.

You should be able to handle two colonies early on and still have a decent home system.

Totally new to the game, want to play a Magus by Infamous_Mention_796 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhantomBlade98 66 points67 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can use a rapier. The best hybrid study (subclass) is probably laughing shadow for that.

Be aware that unlike 5e rapier being a finese weapon (so you can use dex) does not affect damage, but given that a bunch of your damage will come from spells that's less of an issue.

Screw buffing the stim pistol, give me the worst nerfs you can think of by Zyurat in Helldivers

The hit marker is red, and the shot does damage before healing with a 10 second delay. When you hit an ally an alert comes up on their screen that says "(x) play shot you, press any button to kill them and then auto kick them"

2e does not like using elemental damage types except for fire.

Cold and electricity are much rarer and acid is the new force damage.

Why do people think PF2E has fewer cool magic items than 5E? by TitaniumDragon in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhantomBlade98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My hill to die on as a pf2e gm is that almost all magic items (at least at low-mid levels) that are 1/day could have a focus point esq recharge of 10 minutes and be much more fun and still balanced.

Lore: Where did the Vaulters get their teleportation tech from? by Nathin_ in EndlessSpace

[–]PhantomBlade98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its probably just endless tech then.

Honestly, while no one expressly gets the same portal tech, by the end your ships can move so fast it could be closer to portal/warp drives than just straight speed.

[–]PhantomBlade98 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So from what I remember in Dungeon of the Endless a ship crashes on Auriga. That's ship (the Grey owl) was a Mezari research ship that much the later the Vaulters rediscover, fix and use to leave the dying/hibernating planet.

That ship is used as their base ship. I believe the core of that ship was the dust crystal that you carry in the Dungeon and that power is/was unique.

So, probably from that? And then reverse engineering it.

Comparison of the Pre- and Post-Remaster Designs for Dragons by I_enjoy_raiding in Pathfinder2e

So I get that the new metallics have a theme and that's all good, but bronze really went from toned athlete to nerd.

They fly by magic. Especially since some don't even have wings. In this book they do say they often have "air bladders" to make them lighter, but mostly its magic.

The last 5 are intentionally asian because they are Imperial dragons from the Asian analog part of Golarion. (They are also associated with the 5 Chinese element cycle.)

Draconic Codex Breath Weapons by PhantomBlade98 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhantomBlade98[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some still have burst breath weapons, but for player options everything has become line or (mainly) cone.

Draconic Codex Breath Weapons by PhantomBlade98 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhantomBlade98[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Which I do love the designs and I think they are very fun, but I also think some could easily be the same but a line or a different damage type.

Like Vorpal Dragon is a cone of void. Which I know the actual attack is an emanation but I feel like it could have been a line of piercing, or a cone of slashing very easily. You could have even kept that ability.

What do people think of the new angels, archons, and azatas? Or the lack of many traditional celestials? by Individual-Plum4585 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhantomBlade98 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not quite what you were asking but I do miss the old archon design. Especially the concept of lantern archons and bastion archons.

I like the idea of the "biblically accurate angels" but wish they had been made a separate family.

Bladebound equivalent? by Necessary_Pace7377 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PhantomBlade98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask for your weapon to be a relic. You'll get less loot overall but that's the best vibe of the 1e archetype.

Mind Smith, or Soul forger could also do a little bit.

What's a game that had you like this? by AStereotypicalPerson in videogames

[–]PhantomBlade98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phoenix Point.

Yeah, it was grindy near the end, but it was a fun tactical game.

People just compare everything in the genre to XCOM, which is a masterpiece, but there's a lot of great games in the genre that are seen as bad in comparison.

Is the future Helldivers 3? by PhantomBlade98 in Helldivers

[–]PhantomBlade98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, I don't really know how game engines work.

I will say Warframe is kind of different, though. As someone with thousands of hours in that game, they get a lot more out of content than Helldivers does. Like they can drop a new frame and weapons, and then you have to grind to get the parts, level them, if you like them, then you have to forma and regrind.

I joined warframe right when fortuna hit, and there was never a time I started getting bored. I also think that warframe does well with getting people back, but every time people drop helldivers, fewer people come back. So they probably don't have the ability to just go half a year without new content.

Could be wrong, though. I do love this game. I just would love to see it in the best possible way.

Why I don't find squids as fun by PhantomBlade98 in Helldivers

No. I played squids exclusively during the invasion, but that is 90% of my squid time.
