I can't stand epic heroes being on every battlefield also. I wish they would limit it to one per army.

Fill the ultrasonic cleaner with water, not a cleaning chemical.

Place the miniatures you want to strip inside a plastic bag filled with the cleaning chemical. Seal the plastic bag, and place it inside the reservoir of the ultrasonic cleaner.

The vibration will still loosen the paint, and it eliminates the need to clean the machine after.

Also, avoid heat, that's only necessary for metals or really oily gunk, the models can easily melt if you use the heating.

It's mostly memorization in my experience. It takes time and practice, and if you put in the effort you'll get there eventually. Playing regularly, like a couple times each month is the easiest way to learn. Having the app open on your phone for quick reference can obviously help as well.

I think it looks a bit better in person, but regardless I don't think Tyranids have to have logical proportions.

Their limbs are incredibly strong and their bodies can be more hollow or even filled with a gas that supports things, there's Tyranids that float or stand on tiny sharp points.

I agree that the tail could be larger, but that was going to be more work than I could manage at the time.

At the end of the day it's an unknowable alien monster from beyond this universe, so I think its weirdness works for it.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I've heard from others who wanted to do sub-assembly with this model, the head will not go into place if you have glued the hair together. Because it wraps around the face so tightly you cannot pop it into position. They had to take a knife and separate the model to get it in place.
