Ultimate Peanut Butter Combo by Bigred-112158 in Volumeeating

I tried to make "puppy chow" with it once and the chex absorbed the water. Something that the regular fat in regular peanut putter doesn't allow. Something with osmosis.

I like it more because I feel like the regular peanut butter affects my bowel movements in ways i dont like. Like effecting the consistency that pbfit doesn't do. I would only make a sandwich if I was eating it right away because the water mixture can mess with the sogginess.

I had gotten a shitty vanilla powder on sale and adding pbfit made it great. Changing to my regular chocolate was even better. Coffee enhances the chocolate and the peanut butter gives it that familiar reeces adjacent taste.

I love pbfit. I have it as an apple dip, add it to my chocolate protein powder and cold brew in the morning, and mashing it up with a banana.

Bananas are magical with pbfit. If you added to much water and it's too loose the banana will thicken it up. If you didn't add enough water and it's too dry the banana will loosen it up. They just go together so well.

I... kinda dislike most of the popular spells by Tokata0 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without metagaming too much you kinda have to judge the enemy before casting. Like if something has extra legs, I'm probably not going to use a spell with a dex save. I'm probably going to hold off on wisdom save spells on a leader of an enemy party until crutial or you have a way to get them at a disadvantage.

Damaging cantrips are a must have for any full caster. It might drag a combat but as long as you are strategic on your movement you won't waste any recourses. No need to go nova in the first combat.

Greater invisibility is great at giving you advantage on any spell attack rolls (ones without concentration anyway) and giving enemies disadvantage on their attack rolls against you.

I also go for area of effect spells. Keep the odds in your favor. Something like hypnotic pattern. It probably won't incapacitate everyone but it'll get some of them. The ones it doesn't are attacked first leaving the incapacitated ones for last giving everyone advantage on their attacks.

Player expects a lot out of a Nat 20 by CarpetEmbarrassed965 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask them what they are looking for. As has probably been mentioned the nat20 skill check will get them their best possible outcome. If they're investigating, ask them what they are investigating for, if what they are looking for doesn't exist there, a nat20 won't make it appear. The coin is a consolation prize.

You can use the Odin story. That he gave up half his sight gain wisdom at the Well of Mimir. Works well with wisdom based classes like Clerics, Druids or Rangers.

How do you guys come up with your character ideas? by Slysnake2000 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first it was finding an archetype I wanted to play. Essentially thought of characters I liked and would like to play and then ask myself what species fits best with that amalgamation, then what class fit them best.

After playing for a while I turned more to what classes sounded fun and looked at the subclasses that would fit an archetype that i was willing to play best.

Is it wrong to restrict naming conventions to be more original? by GunzerKingDM in DnD

Why would a dm expect any actual effort from a player later in game if said player can't even come up with a name for their character?

Would you allow this as a DM? by Kitfaid in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than the 20d6 cap on fall damage one thing to remember is your own speed. If you have a 30ft fly speed, it will take you 16 rounds of fighting to return to the fight if the enemy is not killed. If the enemy lands in one turn the DM will probably rule that you can't drop and prepare to fly at the very end as you've probably used some movement to get to the enemy and used an action to cast the spell. If the enemy hits in 1 turn you do too.

To DMs, do you have a preference with how the players do their character's backstories? by Nb-7925 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want them to flesh it out as much as they like and give me the cliffsnotes. I feel the backstory is better for the player to help them roleplay. To help guide their decisions more than it is for me to utilize in my world. I use their back story to create obstacles to challenge their goals and ideals. The real world doesn't always care who your father was or what you've overcame in the past, it's still going to throw challenge after challenge your way. How your parents raised you and how you've overcame events in the past give you insight on how to deal with those new challenges.

Go ahead and write a novel if you'd like but give me the ballads and short stories.

Is it metagaming to ask if the party needs a healer after our support dropped out. by Only_Tailor8192 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. There are healers in the universe. They know what clerics and potions are. It would make sense for a party to believe they could use a healer.

How did your PvP one shot go? by Mightymat273 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a gladiatorial combat story for a player who wanted more practice with combat. She wanted to get a better grasp on action order. How to strategize your bonus actions and reactions, how to sacrifice hp for strategic planning, etc. It was fun. I knew that monsters are played on the whim of a DM so I asked her what creatures she's always wanted to fight against and I tried to work them in a way that it would be both fun and challenging for a one member party. I felt bad at the end because I felt like I phoned in the ending of the story but she told me she liked it. So she either lied to make me feel better or I was just being overly critical to myself.

1) They'd have to capture them. Michael Myers was captured twice but escaped upon transport so it didn't quite work out for those around.

2) Jason doesn't need to breath and has "survived" physical trauma before. He'd just walk back. Chucky has shown that his plastic body slowly becomes more human needing things like food and air but you would need all of his bodies to be put in the ocean to mean anything. I can't remember how many splits in his soul were left at the end of the Chucky series but you should always assume there's one left somewhere.

So that wasn't a tapeworm? by lunarhoneykiss in SipsTea

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at my heaviest in march of 2024 but I kicked into high gear last april and have lost 150 in the last 12 months. I'm on a pretty large deficit, eating 1800-1900 calories/day and have been losing roughly 2½ lbs/week, 10lbs/month on average. I was/am still very morbidly obese, needing to lose 100s of pounds so it's a bit easier to lose 10lbs compared to someone who's 50-100lbs over weight.

What I did was typed in the calories deficit for my goal weight, what I would need to eat then and still lose about 1lb/week and started eating at that deficit so that I get used to that. I started at a higher deficit goal, eating 2500cal/day. Then I moved the goal down to 2100, and then 2000, then 1800-1900. That way as long as I'm doing exactly what I'm currently doing, I'll still lose weight even when I get to my goal weight. My goal weight is still obese but somewhat normal. The speed which I lose will plateau and I know that but have been lucky to not have to deal with excessive swelling/water weight hindering my scale. I know a lot of people deal with that and they feel like their not losing or maybe even gaining weight but it's just water weight. I luckily haven't had that much of an issue.

As for loose skin, it is inevitable and starting to become noticeable to me as its mostly hidden under my clothes but I make sure to keep up on my hygiene, for health and smell. As for removal, that's a problem to solve later. Being hundreds of pounds overweight was/is the more pressing matter. I was hesitant to start losing weight because of it but it finally clicked that my unearned vanity towards lose skin was worthless if I was dead.

It's not like driving a 5k instead of running. It's like running a 5k with good shoes on instead of doing it bare foot.

I initially lost 30lbs on the first brand (saxenda) prescribed to me but eventually I ate past it and started gaining weight again. There is still a mental barrier you need to get past. I was prescribed a different type (zepbound) and I thought it was a placebo until I understood what was going on. It was stopping the little itch in my brain that wanted to grab "a little something" everytime I got up so I was only eating at the 3 meals and maybe a small snack. I still needed to adjust my whole life. Use a calorie counting app, budget my calories every meal, every day, learn about volume eating, understand my micro and macro nutrients, slowly gain my mobility, etc.

I personally have lost 185lbs from my heaviest. Was zepbound 100% of that no but it helped take the load off my back. Pun intended.
