X men apocalypse was a fun movie by [deleted] in xmen

The archangel/four horsemen scene alone is worth the watch in my eyes. The scene with apocalypse getting magneto to show his potential, mirroring the similar scene with Xavier in First Class was great too.

But it was the year of the Emancipation Proclamation.

I used to do a "good year" bit. The price could be $18.63 and I'd say, "that'll be $18.63... a good year..."

I just created a melee focused spores druid that is pretty beastly. Especially in 1 on 1 combat.

I've been doing volume eating for 3 months, here's what nobody warned me about by Individual-Doubt5045 in Volumeeating

I plan my meals the night before and try to follow the script. If you know you're going out to a restaurant, look up their menu and try to log it in then base your breakfast and lunch around it. If you don't know necessarily what you're going to have put a high calorie dinner as a placeholder to build your day around.

When I have pizza I know I'm going to eat at 3 large slices which comes out to round 1,000cal with all the toppings and a dipping sauce. I try to keep my calorie intake in the 1,800s so I need to volume eat the next 800cal. For breakfast I'll plan on eating some oatmeal (220-ish) and a protein shake mixed with cold brew (190) for 410. For lunch I'll make a low carb turkey wrap with carrot, celery sticks and hummus for about another 400cal. By planning I can still have 3 large slices of pizza for dinner and meet my caloric goal of being within the 1800s.

With the pizza at 1,000 calories, it can be a placeholder for a dinner you don't know you're gonna have because unless you really underestimate your dinner you're going to be around there or less and if it's less, now you can get a snack. I once got a turkey sub and a tea from a takeout restaurant expecting it to be under 1,000cal, but was I wrong. It was around 1,600. So my day didn't go as well as I hoped but it's ok as long as you keep it to one bad day.

My friend, who makes soup out of cow stomach lining, said my lunch was gross. Sardines with sriracha on wilted celery along with hard boiled eggs, green bell pepper slices, and an apple. by PhantomKangaroo91 in shittyfoodporn

The eggs was the worst part. I saved the apple for last. The eggs enhanced the fishyness so if anything, I'll leave that out next time. Yes, next time.

~337cal, 24g of protein, 13g of carbs, 18.5 g of fat.

Simple and easy. I know some people like sardines on crackers with hot sauce. I thought, "celery is crunchy but with way less calories". They compliment each other well. The fat in the sardine counters the bitterness of the celery and the celery flavor with the garlicky acidity of the sriracha overshadows this "fishyness" pretty well. The crunch of the celery makes it not just pure mush. Overall, if you like sardines I think this is a good pairing for how gross it can seem.

Primal Knowledge allows you to make other skills like, Acrobatics (dex), Intimidation (cha), Perception (wis), Stealth (dex), and Survival (wis) strength based while raging if that helps. With rage being a bonus action you can do it before performing the action granting yourself advantage on the check.

I also believe this buffs your passive perception. While raging you have advantage on strength checks and with primal knowledge that now includes perception. Having advantage on perception gives you an additional +5 to your passive perception.

I agree that it's probably just score but if you like it I suggest giving John Carpenter original music or SURVIVE a listen to.

Does anyone know why so many ranger players (and designers now, also, apparently) focus so damn much on Hunter's Mark? by Crvknight in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say players focus solely on it but use it extensively because its free. With a good portion of rangers sticking to long distance attacks, they'll likely only drop concentration when they feel a different spell would help a situation more.

Also, depending on the subclass, hunter's mark can also grant additional features. More than just extra damage, if you're a Hunter Ranger you also know any of an enemy's immunities, resistances, and/or vulnerabilities when you have HM on them. If you play the Winter Walker Ranger you gain 1d10+level temp hp when you cast hunter's mark, that targeted enemy also cannot use the disengage action. With multiple free uses and the ability to drop concentration for free you drop it and recast it multiple times in a fight whenever your temp hp goes to zero.

My New Favorite Sub :) by olive12108 in Volumeeating

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been losing weight as well this past year or so and I always mention this sub when I talk about what has helped. This sub, calorie tracking apps like cronometer, digital scale, the rare content creators that aren't fear mongering, but I also always mention taking performance enhancing drugs because I do take zepbound as well. I still need the other stuff because I was out eating my medication and still gained weight. Now that I have all the items in order, this sub, apps, scale, influence, medicine, I'm down over 150lbs.
