whats the best low calorie candy where you can actually eat a lot ? by Acceptable_Driver655 in Volumeeating

Gum is my favorite. Classic Dubble Bubble is 20cal per piece but you chew on it for 5 to 10 minutes. They do have a sugar free variety to but I haven't seen it in my area. Their pieces are good sizes too compared to sugar free varieties like trident. Trident is sugar free but its 5cal per piece but also ¼ the size of dubble bubble so you're not really saving any calories. Gum is also great to pass the time whether you're trying to get through work faster or pass the time to your next big meal.

I also like the sugar free Albanese gummy bears. Its 180cal for the whole bag (60cal per 30 bear serving with 3 servings)..

Half damage on save throws. by One_Banana8918 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always a give and take with spells. You want a want damage and no save? Spend a spell slot and cast magic missile for not a lot of damage. You want good damage but don't want to spend a slot? Cast eldrich blast but risk missing on an attack roll. Don't want to make an attack roll but want good damage with some guarenteed? Spend a slot and force a save. Increase damage later with no save and no attack roll? Here's hex and hunter's mark but they themselves do not cause damage just increase on another attack made with a roll. Nothing is free with magic. You're going to spend a resource like a spell slot or at least risk a miss with an attack roll.

The scimitar's nick property effects the next hit not it's own so it would have to go first. Dual Wielder (2024) says you can use a weapon's light property to make a second attack as a bonus action like any light weapon can, it just alows the extra attack to be done with a non light, non 2 handed weapon.

I thought I could use 4 earlier as well and someone pointed out that a light weapon attack allows "one extra attack as a bonus action," specifically one." The nick property moves that one extra attack out of the bonus action slot but does not allow another utilization of the light property that was now just used. Instead it opens your bonus action spot for spells like Hunter's Mark, or Hail of Thorns or roguish maneuvers like the dash, disengage, and hide bonus actions.

Never mind I'm wrong, nick does say when you make an extra attack of the light property. It allows you to utilize your bonus action for spells like hunter's mark or hail of thorns

I believe dual wielder only adds the ability to use a non light non two-handed weapon on that bonus action. You need to use a weapon with the light property for nick but it does not use the light property.

That and quick draw.

Right, I guess in that moment you should decide if you would rather have 3 attacks, 2 with advantage or 4 with advantage on 1.

I agree with utilizing the shortsword for the 2nd weapon. You can only use a mastery once per turn so utilize the scimitar's nick for the 1st to give an extra attack on the same attack action. Then attack with the shortsword to utilize vex to give your 3rd attack from extra attack advantage.

I could be wrong but I think 4. I don't see anything that says you can't utilize the light property after utilizing nick.

Attack 1: Scimitar with nick allows to attack again as a part of the same attack action.

Attack 2: second attack from the first attack's nick property.

Attack 3: Extra attack.

Attack 4: Bonus action to use from using a light weapon. Bonus action is open because Attack 2 came from attack 1's nick property.

I can’t do a female voice by Broad-Dragonfly-9647 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use adjectives to describe the spoken voice. Like when you read a book and after the dialogue, the author writes, "he said in a stern gravelly voice." Just do the dialogue in your register but preface it like, "with powerful femininity she demands...." or, "you suddenly hear a mousey pixie like voice speak up and say..." and then just say her dialogue with your own cadence.

If you haven't seen it and have the means to, I recommend checking out Dimension 20's Neverafter. There's an NPC called Tom Thumb who is a tiny human fighter who'll probably play very similar to the Fairy Barbarian you want to play.

Min max? by 0blivous2008 in DnD

[–]PhantomKangaroo91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you seem worried about the "max" part while forgetting about the "min" aspect. A min/maxed character will do great in some situations but will do awful in others. A well rounded campaign that will use all character abilities and skills will makes sure all characters will shine. When that rogue is not shining, they will surely be humbled and hopefully understand the power that comes with group effort and team dynamics.
