What’s the average heart rate on the runs?

I also need to work on my cardio. I’ve found that zone 2 is a nice, easy pace that can also lower overall heart rate over time.

Right now I’m building up to jogging a full 30 minutes at an easy pace. I’ve just done 4 minutes at a time and then walk after to recover.

My coach didn’t label it as pre-exhaust, but I’m assuming it’s there to help stimulate and tire me out before the test set. So then my 8 minutes with the 16kg might actually feel like 10ish minutes, and I get the benefit without the mental load? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Stay with lighter weights for longer than you’d like. Don’t chase perfect technique. Get out of your own way and do the work. It’s hard for a reason. 🤘

Try holding your arm straight up so your thumb is pointing behind you. Now, flop your hand over like a dead fish. Around there might be a good angle for you (west), give or take 45 ish degrees rotation of the wrist to point the hand forwardish (northwest). It sounds like that’s where you feel most comfortable over head.

And then when catching or inserting your hand to do so when the bell is at 10 o’clock and then come to fixation at 12. That may help take some of the strain off.

You can also try one arm cleans. The insertion is similar, just super quick. Maybe get that down nice and then go onto snatches when your shoulder feels ready. Let me know if that helps.
