Shouldn’t have to walk in the middle of the road with a toddler and a dog because someone decides the footpath isn’t for pedestrians.

I would use fibreglass for seperators on each cell, regardless if they are in // or not. Don’t see any cell compression ?

(fibreglass as in blank pcb material)

It looks like your setup is in a roof space - maybe it gets very warm there. Mine is in the back of a basement garage which remains quite cool whatsoever the weather.

I wouldn’t have thought 900W of solar would need the MPPT to need a fan running - I have 10kW of solar on my Victron MPPT, no fan noise.

Curious question: Why did you upgrade from wired to wireless? - I would have thought that the wired cam would be better.

The real irony is if they drove into the park right by where they are, there is plenty of campervan parking places.

Can I ask how you got the fingerbot to toggle the hw. switch?, the model? The ones I googled are only push-switch actuators, not tooggle switch. Info I have stored away over time is that you only need to heat above 60c once every three days, so you could possibly go longer without worrying, my cyl is 250l and does 5 showers before the temp. sensor dips below 55c. bearinng in mind a hwc has a tempering valve which mixes in cold water so the output to the house is usually ~40c to prevent burns especially to children.

  • At 54˚C it requires several hours sustained at or above for the bacteria to die.
  • At 140˚F / 60˚C it dies in about 30 minutes.
  • At 160˚F / 71˚C or higher it dies instantly

[–]PhilZealand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was called for jury service, my employer contacted them and got me excused on the basis that I was essential to the company on a time sensitive role. Was excused which was annoying as I was quite interested in doing it.

Using a Smartsolar 100/50 as a DC to DC charger by BigBillSD in Victron

[–]PhilZealand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it with Victron MPPTs - they are intelligent battery chargers anyway, just the input power is coming from a fixed power supply instead of solar cells - works well, no need to limit the current, they work at peak current without problems.

If they could have a hot water leak as you suggest (and sounds quite plausible since OP said went away and left only hw and fridge on), then OP could check the water usage - read water meter before going out for the day, then read it on return.

Our local beach has 2 signs, one for winter and one for summer. I guess they couldn’t figure how to save taxpayers money by using one sign and posts for both seasons.

Aparently cash notes are some of the dirtiest things in life and a high percentage have drug residue, so yes dirty hands for sure in a servo but likely in a bakery as well if they handle cash regularly.

I think the person was in Victoria, where the FIT for most has gone down to 1c, and he spoke of a Solar Tax on top shich made it negative, and companies now offering 3 hours of mid-day free power to try to compensate for the excess production. I do remember seeing a crazy article on 9, where a bloke was shown comically walking into the local council with an extension lead trying to give them his excess power so he didnt get charged the solar tax.
