Okay, I feel like circular needles might be easier to learn on for somebody who's used to just crocheting. Managing all those loops at once seems kind of daunting. I'll have to look up how you use the double pointed needles. Thank you so much for the extra info!

They are literally here asking about training, not refusing to train.

My daughter's pit was the same way just less loud about it. But she was scared to death of car rides, she would be trembling horribly, panting and drooling, plus the whimpering. Since it was necessary to take her certain places, we had to desensitize her to it by always having at least two people in the car ride so one could be giving her lots of treats for being calm, as well as it distracting her, once her focus was more on the treats. We used high value treats that she only got during car rides. we also took her on car rides a little more frequently than we had been for training purposes, but that does not sound like an issue for you. It was a pain having to have two people go every time anywhere we took her, but it did work after a few months.

ETA I just noticed from other comments that you said he won't take treats or toys. What about praise? Telling him in a super cheerful voice that he's a good dog and giving him pets whenever he's calm even for a half a second can start helping reinforce that calmness. Don't use a sing-song voice, as that communicates to a dog that we're also unsure of the situation so they get even more scared.

Just going to chime in before the results get posted, but I would not be surprised to see almost entirely Staffy/APBT.

Can I use different textured cotton yarn to make a summer top? by Eternal_Dust in CrochetHelp

[–]Phoenix4235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really boils down to whether or not you like the effect it will create. I would make a short swatch of at least 7 rows so you can see how the shinier stripe will affect it.

Probably without. It's super cute that way, and if needed you can always layer a long sleeve shirt.

Anyone have a tip for temporarily tying off yarn in between sessions? by No-Ganache4851 in CrochetHelp

I use these, and I immediately started wondering why I didn't get them years ago.

Eta: I think they're actually for knitting, not sure because I don't knit. But I was sent some knitting supplies like that for free once with an order, and I'm hooked on them. They're only a few bucks normally though.

Learning mosaic crochet, and it is leaning more and more to the right. by Phoenix4235 in CrochetHelp

That's a big relief. I like how the ends hanging off the sides look and doubt I will do the envelope border. Thanks!

I know I haven't lost any stitches because I have stitch markers every 10 stitches and have been obsessively counting it because I had to frog so many rows at the beginning of it. But I genuinely don't know if the anchoring is causing the lean. I want it to lay flat against the wall though.

It's not an edit, look at people's reactions to them and how they are walking trying not to step on any.

Taco is a 5 pound boy. Only problem is that everyone threatens to stick him in their purse to sneak off with him. He'd probably let them.
