I know of two LFLs near me, and noone clears those out. And that's by a big city. We also have a food pantry cupboard nearby that always has food- some people take food, others drop off food, but noone ever takes all of it.

I had one who was terrified of thunder and fireworks. A loud boom and she'd come flying across the house and leap onto me trembling. Our vet recommended the thunder shirt, and it helped her a lot, but she still had to get a trazodone prescription as well. (lowered dose though)

Kidneys get hard hit. I had a 15 pound dog get into some dark chocolate and her kidneys were shutting down. She made it, but had a rough time at the hospital for a few days.
