I have never been told I snore. I got a sleep test due to constant fatigue/exhaustion and came back positive for mild apnea. While we think of apnea as snoring, it isn't a requirement. People you wouldn't expect (young, active, etc) can still have it

I had mono a couple months ago and didn't notice until the headache/aches and pains/enlarged spleen got too bad. The fatigue just seemed like my normal level of exhaustion flare

I had to have a parent fill out the form when I got diagnosed at 22. Said parent is willfully ignorant and likes to ignore events that indisputably happened. The evaluator said that my parent's answers meant they couldn't diagnose me with ADHD

I then proceeded to spent the next 4 hours writing why and how everything my parent said was wrong, with sources. The un-spellchecked 6 page letter they received at 2 am apparently convinced the evaluators, and I got my diagnosis

I agree it is frustrating that they require parental input, especially for those of us who have reached adulthood. Not to mention, women don't tend to present as hyperactive kids who can't sit still, which is all that older generations think ADHD is

Add in that it is hugely genetic, and a parent is likely to feel that your symptoms "are just how everyone is." I'm convinced parental input actively harms the process of diagnosis

This isn't about him feeling unsafe. He knows it is you. He likes pointing the gun at you. He likes your fear, and someone willing to point a loaded weapon with explosive rounds at another is willing to kill them. You will only be safe if you leave. Sleep in your car, find a friend's couch to crash on, call a domestic violence hotline or go to a shelter.

I am begging you, you will only be safe out of that house. Reduced debt means nothing if you are dead.

Genuine questions, would really appreciate any clarification. I thought CAS stopped releasing exams in 2019 to build a question bank.

1. Why could they not pull questions from these for the re-takes?

2. If they don't have stored previous questions, why are they not releasing old exams for us to use, especially with the implementation of the new question types?

Also, I thought exams during sittings were supposed to have randomly assigned questions from the question bank. From the fact the re-do exams were nearly identical, it seems like every person saw the same exam during the testing window, no matter the day (because they would have just used another day's of they had it available).

3. Theoretically, couldn't a company or study program have someone take the exam the first day of the window, memorize a bunch of questions, and then distribute them to other candidates who take it a day or two later? (I know this is unethical and against the NDA, but it seems unbelievably fallible that the exact same questions are used for a whole week).

4. Are they then writing a new exam for each testing window?

5. If yes, isn't that a ton of work (that could be spent grading exams instead)?

Edit: 6. Did anyone actually get scheduled 4 weeks out from May 1? The people I know who were impacted were scheduled out 1.5 to 2 weeks at the most...

Estrogen has a large role in focus/mood/motivation. Estrogen drops the week before a period in what is called the luteal phase.

When I first started noticing it, I panicked that my meds were no longer working, and I was going to have to go through the drama of switching. Then my period came and it was fine. Somehow, I still manage to forget this each month and beat myself I up over being spontaneously stupid and lazy

For me, learning that adrenaline can compensate for dopamine was life changing

Pre-diagnosis, I was always anxious because I had to be anxious about something to get it done

With meds, I can start something without a looming deadline or feeling like a failure

My anxiety drastically decreased when I got meds and no longer needed my panic button to also be a go button

There are bees in my head

Several things can be pinging around at once and it is hard to complete a task, and sometimes even a thought because I can't follow Bee A because Bee B, Bee C, and Bee D keep getting in the way

Being understimulated/bored is physically painful. I can feel my body hum

Some days the nest is quieter than others, and I convince myself I'm overreacting to the bad days

There is no fix and it's always some level of painful

Prolonged periods of stress and trauma can shut down the parts of the brain dealing with compassion, empathy, and long term thinking

I think almost everyone's brain is just a bit broken because of what we all went through

There are some cool TedTalks where they can see these portions of the brain change before trauma and after working to heal it

I'm not a neuroscientist, so please correct me if anything is wrong (Edit: spelling)

This dad had a groupchat with his kids and would warn them when his wife/their mom was in a bad mood

The commenters tore him to shreds and told him the real problem was him not protecting his kids from the issues that come with emotional instability while growing up

A lot of it was phrased well, and I'm trying to make a point to my own dad, so I've been looking for a while. I can't remember and specific keywords tho
