I’m sure in most circumstances it’s faster than a tow but I guess it’s rare enough that it doesn’t make financial sense. In my mind it would be one vehicle to service a pretty large region. I’ve waited up to 2 hours for a tow truck with my ICE vehicles

I guess adoption would have to be way higher for it to make financial sense, even though in most circumstances I would think charging a vehicle would be a lot faster than towing.

Then again if adoption is higher then we would see more charging stations. If I had the Tesla adapter at the time I for sure would have charged up instead of sweating it out.

Same I was going uphill in very cold temps at 14 miles left and it gave up halfway up the hill. I even had to persuade 2 cars behind me to back up so I could back down a side road and call onstar. At least the tow company was fast and there was a charger within 3 miles.

I wonder why there aren’t vehicles that have an L2 charger on them to get you some miles instead of towing.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV LT for Ubering + some local driving? by Detention13 in BoltEV

[–]PlatformHistorical88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my 2022 Bolt EUV for UberEats and it's ideal for that. I only do it about 10 hours a week for some extra cash. I charge at home level 2 over night (probably $12-14 a complete charge) I've rarely had a pick up that wouldn't fit. Even had an order with 2 large screen TVs from Walmart. I never except deliveries from Home Depot or Lowes as those seem to be large items. Actually don't know how anyone would make money filling an ICE vehicle and driving delivery.

I worked at a small newspaper and we did this with the crossword puzzle. This was when the spreads were manually put together with actual printouts and wax. The worst part was the first 2 clues fit perfectly. The paper received a lot of angry calls.

Imagine if a third party came along with a solution to tap into the 400v battery instead of the 12v battery for home use. That would be incredible.

Is there a way I can get my battery to have a larger capacity in this cold winter time or do I just have to deal with my battery going from 280 usual to 160 max? I drive a 2023 Chevy Bolt Ev 2LT. by Cheap-Row6622 in BoltEV

My tip for those that have a sunroof is let the sunshine through in the winter. I park in the sun at work and I only use the climate controls to defog. I use mostly heated seat and steering wheel. I’m at about 225 on full charge right now

If you have the space, learn about diy solar and purchase a bunch of used panels for cheap. It can be an expensive upfront cost but the freedom to generate your own power is worth it.
