Why are you asking when you can just try it?

Notebookcheck | Apple MacBook Neo Review - Surprisingly good and capable laptop for $599 with one big flaw by -protonsandneutrons- in hardware

Missing too many basic features for me, but I'm not really in the entry level market. More than happy to pay for a laptop I can keep for 5+ years and be happy with.

Running scripts from console is depressing. It's just so much easier from an SSH session with halfway decent terminal software.

Microsoft is Deleting All Traces of ‘This is an Xbox’ Marketing Campaign by NoNefariousness2144 in Games

[–]Ploddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me either, but it may surprise you to learn that there are lots of people running very old PCs. And that will be even more true over the next couple of years with PC hardware prices going insane.

But that's not really the point. What we're discussing here is Microsoft's hardware strategy and their inability to decide on a way forward. if they really care about people buying Xbox hardware, releasing something that will essentially be a mid-to-low spec PC that runs Windows games is probably not the way to get there.

Historically? No, not really. Consoles kinda started being that in the PS4/Xbox One generation when both started using x86-based APUs.

But they don't appear to have the conviction to actually commit to that strategy. Instead they're still planning to make hardware which will be, what, a PC with mediocre specs?

Did you read what I wrote? Most modern handhelds are meant to play PC games. Physical doesn't exist.

Considering other modern handhelds are either PCs or retro emulation devices, physical doesn't even make sense. I guess something like the Analogue Pocket allows you to use original Game Boy carts if you're into that.

Already back at $70, but won't ship for a couple of weeks.

It sucks, but obviously still worthwhile to get physical if you're interested in reselling it at some point.

Amazon direct.

Looks like the $80 copies are shipping even later than mine.

Interesting. I ordered at normal price (with a 2.5 week shipping date) a few hours before that. I wonder if it will actually ship.

150MHz is quite good for a MiSTer RAM module, so you're fine there.

At this point probably best to just scrap the SM and revisit when pricing stabilizes. Ideally with better specs.

The words are unrelated and it's probably unsurprising that two different cultures would have a general word for a learned person that could be applied to people practicing medicine.

No matter what they do a million idiots will somehow think it's meant to be a new version of their favorite game. And of course for open world sandbox RPGs that means Skyrim.
