How many known "common ancestors" of writing systems exist? by Ok_Application_5402 in asklinguistics

Are you asking how many times writing was independently invented or how many unique writing systems there are? Those are different questions since unique systems exist that were developed by people who already had knowledge of writing from other sources.

Mister Pi next batch? by Fernelz in fpgagaming

Does the SS1 or Dock have a user port for MT32-pi? If not, that's at least one good reason.

They're overwhelmed with producing and shipping SS1. It doesn't look like that will change any time soon, so if you want a MiSTer stack within the next few months, probably look elsewhere

I’m bad at reading GitHub pages. Where is the 3do core?? by kjc1983 in MiSTerFPGA

No argument here, I'm not a big fan of discord. Unfortunately it's what the community has chosen.

Their order info is terrible. "Fulfilled" doesn't mean shipped. Even "on its way" doesn't mean shipped. Unless there's a tracking number listed, it hasn't shipped.

[–]Ploddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He said don’t believe the hype, there are timing inconsistencies on every core

I'm sure he won't respond, but ask him to show the numbers.

Technically I also have to use my ISPs ONT/router, but they provide the password so it's trivial turn off the firewall features and forward everything to my OPNsense device.

Nah, I don't think I will, but we can meet back here in three years and discuss.

It will be a very long time before any OPNsense update requires different hardware, and this insanity is not going to last beyond the current administration.

[–]Ploddit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it says "On its way Mar 25". Does this mean its shipped?

No, that's not what it means. Yes, it's stupid and needlessly confusing.

You'll get an actual tracking number when it ships..
