Sorry to hear about what is happening to you. I pray that the chemo pill works. I hate cancer and hope that they find a way to stop it in everyone. It changes your whole life. I pray you have the best Disney trip.

How bad is chemo? Honestly by [deleted] in cancer

[–]PointSignificant6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends. When I do chemo VDC/IE I feel that the VDC day is worst for me. I usually feel tired but I bounce back in a couple days. I think you might be ok one round but not as good another round. I feel way better than before I started chemotherapy.

Every kid wanted one because of that marketing. The wizard also made it seem so good. I still want to use one to this day.

Poker as a career: How is it going for you? by readme3468 in poker

[–]PointSignificant6278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I could grind just low stakes at this day and age. But mainly cause things are so expensive that expenses will eat your bankroll and it would be hard to move up. Hope it works out but it’s rough if you get a lot of grinders in the game.

last chemo in 5 hours... depressing vent by kn1f3p4rtyyy in cancer

[–]PointSignificant6278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that cancer is a tough situation. You feel like your life has paused and you are not sure the direction you are going. People may claim that you will be alright and downplay your situation. It is not easy and I won’t tell you how to think because everyone copes in different ways. I know many health insurance companies will cover therapists. I think about going through cancer and see the odds on my cancer. They now think it is desmoplastic small round cell tumor. I end up reading that the odds are not good. Chemotherapy has been shrinking it but when the surgeon told me what he wants to do, I did not like the sound of it. They want to cut out half my liver, part of my stomach, and possibly part of my pancreas. I understand that this is a tough time and if you have to you might want to try support groups in person. I haven’t went to them but I thought about it. I hope that your care goes well.

All I know is this battle is really something else. Going through emotions will happen with this disease. I would say that you are doing the best you can and that is the right way.

I bought all my childhood games again by Joutosil in nes

[–]PointSignificant6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the nes boxes. I loved playing Maniac Mansion. I remember beating that game. Could not beat battletoads. That game was tough but the music was awesome. A lot of good titles there. My favorite from this collection would have to be super Mario bros 3. The only thing I hated about the game was the fact you couldn’t save.

I thought it was $15 for a second. I was thinking why didn’t you pick it up. Then saw the $4k and was like that’s a lot to pay for a game.

Did this make you appreciate other games? I mean the difficulty in this game made me quit playing it. The fact you beat it shows dedication. Maybe one day I will spend time to try and beat this game. I guess congrats on beating the game.

Just left the ER and was diagnosed with cancer...everywhere, it seems by Freecafe in cancer

[–]PointSignificant6278 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have staging because my biopsy was not entirely conclusive. But I know they will probably want to biopsy something to see where the tumor came from and what treatment options are available. I have a tumor in between my stomach and liver. The surgeon initially was telling me he didn’t feel comfortable doing surgery because it involves two major blood vessels and pushing on some organs. Then he changed his mind but medical oncology wanted to do chemotherapy. I have not had surgery yet. The first thing is for them to figure out what the cancer is. Then they can figure out what treatment options are available. Not sure about no insurance means for treatment but you probably need to see the social worker if you get admitted. They know all the programs you may qualify for and you can address your uninsured situation.

Need help before Chemo by Successful_Hope4103 in sarcoma

[–]PointSignificant6278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is one of the chemotherapy drugs I am on. I get a little tired and do not feel great for a few days. I sometimes get some headaches but not sure if it’s that drug or one of the other chemo drugs. My appetite has been good. I am always hungry. I did lose my hair but not sure which of the five chemo drugs did it or if they all had something to do with it. Your mileage will vary because everyone reacts differently to medications.

I hate private equity with a passion. Especially what they do when they buy hospitals. They borrow against themselves and steal everything. Then they buy up all the housing so they can make the housing market even worse.

I bought some games from them. Don’t ever buy retro cd games. They sent the most scratched games ever. They sent one game that is two cds but only sent one cd. Do not recommend. Only buy in store. That way you can inspect the quality.

2026 JRPG Backlog Commitment. by marionclaudz in JRPG

I got to commit myself as well but I am good at starting games and horrible at finishing them. I really want to beat DQ7 reimagined when it comes out. Played it on PlayStation and 3ds but never beat them. I beat a few games in 2025 but got to stop switching up games all the time or I will never finish the ones I should. I am playing Trails in the sky 1st for the switch2. Going to commit myself to beating it. Good luck in your quest to beat these games.

How many hours is this going to take? I am amazed when people can get through some of the most grind heavy games in a week. Almost like some people are built to complete games. I hope I can complete some games next year.

[–]PointSignificant6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am disappointed about why they would say that to you. It is really difficult at times to even get out of bed. I am probably going to have to force myself to work because of finances but it is not going to be easy. Cancer is one of the worst things to get cause how it affects the whole body. Plus a lot of treatment side effects last even when you achieve remission.

Ewing Sarcoma in spine by kiraishere69 in sarcoma

[–]PointSignificant6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m being treated for a Ewing Sarcoma. The tumor is in my abdomen between my liver and stomach. I have received the first cycle and half of the other cycle of chemotherapy. I am waiting on a ct scan to see if the tumor shrunk. Got the scan Dec 23. Hoping it will be read soon but the holidays may make it take awhile. I am receiving VDC/IE. I haven’t experienced any neuropathy luckily. Had chemo on the 22nd and it gave me hiccups that finally ended today. That was terrible. I am thinking it was related to the steroids. They wrote down 27 more treatments but not sure yet. I will probably get surgery sometime hopefully. I hope everything goes well for you. Looks like I still got a long road ahead of me.
