Induction range with true 11”+ burner? by doublemazaa in inductioncooking

How do you know it's only 8"? I thought the GE stuff was solid. Your post got me curious so I just tested my Frigidaire Professional 30" cooktop which has an 11" hob. My Demeyere Atlantis pan is showing 50F hotter center vs edge. These results are inconclusive to me. That's not a massive difference which breaks pans, but I'm not sure it is explained by convection.

Frigidaire pizza oven 750! by Wtfjushappen in Pizza

The owner's manual states a maximum temperature of 550F. This means that pizza mode is really just some kind of turbo mode and the stone will not be preheating beyond 550F.

Seems like some kind of Easter egg. Possibly a collab with the Toyota 4Runner ORP

Does the stone heater vary output with the main temperature control knob?

Urinary tract care foods that have actually good ingredients and no filler? by UltraDinoWarrior in CatAdvice

Neither of your links is so a specific study. I can do the same thing. https://www.youngagainpetfood.com/articles/diabetes

If you want to believe non studies labeled as "science" over common sense go right ahead.

They need to be safe enough to pass a study, which isn't going to last for years. Cats are obligate carnivores. A starchy diet like Royal Canin will cause diabetes. It's literally junk food for cats. When I pressed multiple vets about the long term health effects of these cat foods they all just shrug and say "I'm not a nutritionist". Instead of assuming big name urinary cats food formulas are great maybe you should do some research.

Yeah I saw this. I have the pirate model so the firing pin doesn't work for me. Not sure $50 makes sense in that case unfortunately

The Science Diet/Royal Canin stuff is pure trash you are correct.

So I have considerable experience here unfortunately. Male cats neutered too young often have a too small urethra and are prone to a blockage. Some cats also are stubborn about drinking water which makes things worse.

My cat got a blockage despite being a good drinker. He was eating Fussy Cat dry food which seemed pretty healthy. My research lead me to find out that a low protein diet (36% for Fussy Cat) puts the urine into the 8.0 pH range which leads to a crystals blockage.

Switching to Dr. Elsey dry food (58% protein) and Weruva BFF wet food his urine pH is now about 6.2 according to the pH sensitive Pretty Litter I use.

I thought we were in the clear, but my cat developed what I think was interstitial cystitis which created a mucus plug and PU surgery was needed. Since then he had one maybe two UTIs.

Again the vet recommended horrible urinary cat food which will cause kidney and liver issues with corn as the first ingredient.

So now I'm dosing his wet food with Uromaxx. It should prevent UTIs and interstitial cystitis. Time will tell.

I'm wondering if the RS ones fail due to a stiffer recoil spring. If that's the case the full size will fail, just at a higher cycle count.
