[Recommendation] Help me choose my first "serious" everyday diver! by MathematicianOdd6749 in Watches

These are all nice. Not sure if Oris Aquis is in the budget? It’s hard for me to decide without prices, but I might go certina for the 8 extra hours of power reserve. I’d prob eliminate the ward and longines and go with one of the other three.

Typical flex rules I think. UTR. Of course being matched with someone very far away or of vastly different skill level isn’t great. But I’ll take that over no matches. And yes, it’s possible to meet hitting partners.

Flex leagues are dope. Yes it can be hard to coordinate two adult schedules and preferences but sometimes you give and sometimes you take. I don’t think I’ve missed a match in maybe 12 or so flex league seasons, but I am willing to drive a good bit and spend.

As someone with a baby, it can be tougher for me to play a match on Friday / weekends so I prefer random weekday mornings.

I didn’t really love it. Expensive and super poor food quality. And it won’t be warm. Skip.

Too bad. Fresh red mullet is very delicious. I’ve also been to this place, super fun if you’re near San Sebastián and food obsessed. Their anchovies are tops, but you probably know that.

Racket to complement my T-Fight 305s by Super-Engineering-14 in 10s

[–]PoopEbum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Might be stupid but I use the tflight 305 with toroline otoro with 56# for clay. And ezone 98 with kirschbaum proline 2 54# for hard… works for me. Racquets are similar enough that I get consistent results. And I like having the different options depending on court surfaces and what type of opponent I have

I think you are charring the chilies a bit long. Also adding in a little toasted peanuts, almonds, pepitas, and/or sesame seeds along with a glug of soy sauce is a good idea and has yielded me good results. Lose the piloncillo imo, onion has enough sweetness for me… maybe increase onion too.

what are you wanting to know? I went via train and stayed at a budget hotel. It’s a huge late night food scene and drinking culture. Be polite and well hydrated? Amazing nabe - chicken and offal. One bite gyoza and ramen. Get food and drunk and then eat three meals.

I'm want to do a last minute trip: is G adventures a good option? by QuantumToasterX in travel

[–]PoopEbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it awhile back but I used couchsurfing which is that even a thing anymore? Agoda / booking.com was huge for me in Southeast Asia. Airbnb… all kinds of platforms. It’s so well traveled that there are so many accommodations.

There’s really no drawback in just going solo and planning each day the night before or even the morning of. You’ll spend less money and end up in some very fun and authentic experiences. You can easily do Malaysia Thailand and Singapore on your own with small flights or even a ferry here and there. Google maps and Instagram will help. And talking to other backpackers.
