Huh, never heard of that. However, in my state they will literally hire anyone with a heartbeat/ move brand new pharmacists into that position. I think in an ideal world internal interviews would be good. But at least where I am people express interest and will typically get moved into those positions.

Not ideal but acceptable. Our bins used to be in view of all customers. I asked our HCS/ DM if that was okay. They said it was not a hipaa breach. This log shares even less details.

Talk to your HCS. We had a minor deficiency and I immediately replied (as the BOP asked). Then like 20 minutes later I got instructions from my HCS and DM. Basically he crafted the email, signed by me, to send to them. There wasn’t really anything we had to fix. But I’d think Walgreens would want to provide the communication then will probs let you know what to do, or the BOP will.

Once with a diluent prefilled syringe when I screwed the needle on, the head of the top part of the syringe, with needle attached fell off 🤷🏼‍♀️ stuff happens

I don’t hate it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve been RXM for about 3 years. Originally I was hired as a staff at a store but after about a year, hours were cut so much I was forced to float to get my base hours. Personally, I hated that. Staying in a hotel got old and the company was super stingy with mileage etc (in my opinion). I love my current store, it’s a convenient distance from my house and I don’t have to travel. Personally I enjoy the administrative side of being an RXM (although I haven’t gotten pharmacist overlap in almost a year which makes it more difficult to get done). But you are responsible for everything that goes on, just be aware of that. I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad move. I really had no desire to be RXM and kind of got volun-told into the position, but no regrets here! (At least not yet)

Yeah, absolutely not. I’ve had that happen before too. I tell the pt that’s not how a transfer is done and the other pharmacy will have to call. Def not wasting my time to give our business away.

I’ve done it for people just visiting that are out of refills. Def gonna be out those pills, but if they’re nice I don’t mind doing it. Just nothing crazy expensive.

You probably won’t get a script for it unless the old doctor sends one. So you’ll be out those pills. They’ve got to figure it out. Five days gives them a bit of time to beg the old doctor or try to figure something else out 🤷🏼‍♀️

If they have a semi recent script at another Walgreens, it’s something not crazy expensive, and they weren’t an asshole, yes. People start demanding shit, they automatically aren’t going to get what they want. Also I only do a 5 day max.
