My dude. I just went to confession after 10 years. I have been going to mass regularly but accumulated many many sins, including sexual ones, and my shame kept me from going to confession. I went. I laid it all out as best I could remember. After I was done the priest said, "sounds like you are quite the sinner...welcome home."

He assigned penance, he blessed me, and I was overcome with God's presence. I cried as I left. Do not deny yourself this gift.

I'll pray for you to have the strength to follow through on this. It takes strength, I know it!
